Very poor service, food was overpriced for what you get and staff was not interested when I complained Hi Andrea, sorry to critiize a flourishing independent business. The 2 omelettes on the specials board took 15 mins or more to serve and there were only 4 other people at one table already served, and a couple of take out orders. The omelette was served alone no garnish and although supposed to be cheese had no discernable cheese flavour. On stating this a female staff member refuted this and thus appeared to contradict our experience which is somewhat disappointing. During this exchange it sounded like staff in the kitchen behind were amused. It wasn't the best of experiences when you have a nice...

I have been in here a couple of times but Friday was my first time in the new, larger premises. The decor is lovely, very clean and a large variety of cakes, (I didn’t look at the food menu). Having sampled MANY coffee shops in the past, I think this is ok and there isn’t really anything else close by. However, I think the coffee is too expensive, more like city prices and the lady who served us had a face like a wet weekend (I don’t think she is the owner). Parking is also difficult. I have had better for less, but if it’s convenience you’re after...

We found 1958 by chance over the summer on a big bike ride. We came back yesterday on a similar ride and it was a super welcome stop. 40 miles in we were extremely cold and desperate for food. The staff are always extremely welcoming and really accommodating to our muddy state! Sorry for all the chaos and mess. Food is brilliant, all day breakfast super great value and good quality. Coffee could be better but drinkable and always welcome on a cold day. Would recommend for anyone wanting a good breakfast style meal or a fry up. Keep up the...

Stunning food! I enjoyed this so much & it wasn’t something I’d usually go for! I had the Chicken, Chorzio, cheese & chipotle Mayo toasted sandwich - wow, what a combination of flavours. I can’t fault anything, service was great & staff were so lovely. The Salted caramel & double choc brownie was delicious 😍 it was just enough, for a nice filling lunch.

Smart but cosy cafe with very friendly staff and excellent breakfasts (mushrooms and spinach on sourdough great) in Underwood village just off Junction 27. I'd been looking for a coffee stop near the M1 that wasn't a service station or transport caff for a while and this was perfect. Beware. The cakes are irresistible.

Called in this morning for a breakfast as we was driving past, friendly staff, nice food and drink, we will definitely be back :) only downside is when it’s busy parking is limited on the street due to the position of the cafe, but worth parking further down the road and and walking up :)
