I have been to the Angel Inn several times now for food and drink.
It's a lovely local village pub with charm and character, they sell a great selection of alcohol including proper real ales, lager and spirits.
The food has always been excellent and a great price for what you get. Sundays the Inn does a roast dinner with a choice of normally one to two selections of meat, plated with plenty of veg, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and even some dauphinois potato. All of this for £10 is a bargain and to make it better you can even order it to take home.

   Read moreWalked the Stour Valley trail and called for lunch at the Angel Inn, more by luck than anything else. It was, our lucky day! Two of us had drinks, chips, chicken wings and salt and chilli squid for £20. However, I must say that my general perception is that you get what you pay for so expectations weren't too high. I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was absolutely first class. Plenty of it and so very tasty. I would recommend this establishment to everyone. Great food, value for money and great friendly hosts....
