Place looked nice while passing, as we was paddling nearby. Straighy away felt like they didn't want to serve us or have our custom. Still seem to be enforcing masks after freedom day, but we sat outside anyway so wasnt a big issue. Asked what ales they sold as was only doing table service? Fair request or so I though. But seemed like too much trouble. Lots of other little things and general blunt attitude that ruined the ambience. Food menu looked really good but we didn't dare ask if they were still serving or not. Not sure if the Lady serving us was having a bad day, needs to retire or move out of hospitality. Won't...

We were on a club motorcycle ride,and the Organizer had booked a couple of outside tables for us, it wasn't too bad a day weather wise, the staff were great,one took our food order,and his colleague,took our soft drinks order. Everything went like clockwork,the service was good too, and there weren't any complaints with any of the food orders. I just had what I thought would be a snack,a basket meal,of a chicken burger with fries and salad.very nice,thanks,and very filling, and we will definitely be back sometime soon. A very friendly pub, from the customers to the publican, and it's dog friendly too. Very tasty, nicely cooked food and at very reasonable prices. My 94 year old father in law ordered the H & H burger and was advised that it may be too much for him, and they were right, I had the aforesaid burger and struggled. It was very very tasty and may well have it again when we go back, and we have already booked to go back. They could have just taken the order and made more money, but obviously they think more of their customers. I would thoroughly recommend that if you are in the area, you try this...
