I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the experience my party and I had at your restaurant for a birthday event on the 20th of October, 2024.
We had a party of 12 guests for a Sunday lunch, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. Ten of us ordered the beef roast, only to find that 7 of the meals were cold and undercooked. While I do appreciate rare beef, this was beyond what anyone at the table found acceptable. The manager acknowledged the issue and apologised, but unfortunately, the replacement meals that were brought out were also cold and now overcooked.
To make matters worse, two of our guests did not receive their orders until after everyone else had finished their meals. One of our party members ultimately chose not to eat at all, as they did not want to dine alone after receiving their cold meal 30 minutes later than the rest of the group.
While we were promptly refunded for the food and the birthday cake we had provided was served, the overall experience left a sour taste in our mouths. Unfortunately, due to this very poor experience, we have decided that we will not be returning to your establishment in the future.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps improve the service at your restaurant for future guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Update After nearly two weeks there still hasnât been any apology or contact from the management at Jimmys farm regarding...
Read moreWe visited around 12.30 on a Saturday afternoon in October. The restaurant was fully booked, but luckily there were tables available outside. You order at the bar, then the food is brought over. Really fast service, we had a lattes and shared Cheddar Straws £5.50, Olives £4, and Pork Belly Bites with Apple Sauce £6.50. (Pictured)
The lattes were ÂŁ4.45 each, what a rip off! Small and not that great. Clearly just from a basic coffee machine! If you wanted to add a syrup, that would be an additional ÂŁ1.50! Insane! Most coffee shops charge an extra 50p for syrup.
Cheddar Straws were great and still warm. You get 3 with a pot of mustard pickle.
Olives were great, they included garlic and sun-dried tomato. Large portion, we werenât given cocktail sticks though.
The pork belly with apple sauce was delicious. Although made me wonder if it was a pig from the farm.
I couldnât see sausage rolls on the menu, but was told they were sold out.
A friendly host and great waitresses and waiters. Iâd visit again for food, but not for an over priced machine latte! Iâd recommend booking đ Oh and if your an annual pass holder for the farm, you get 10%...
Read moreWe visited Jimmys Farm last weekend as predominantly we wanted to buy an Animal Experience gift for a family member. Could of bought online, but thought we go and check it out first and eat lunch! The Barn Restaurant is a lovely venue and all staff were friendly and attentive. As we went on a Sunday, the menu was reduced due to them serving a Roast Dinner. I had the Fish, Chips & Peas. It was lovely although (I think) there was possibly Tumeric in the batter which I did not appreciate. I would of preferred just a good old plain batter taste wise, but the fish was still good. My husband enjoyed his Vege Burger and was happy with the portion size. I had the CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e for dessert which was not the best unfortunately as I could of poured it out the cup which is not good. It was lovely tasting, but not the right consistency sadly. We then visited the Farm Shop which again we enjoyed. Purchased some very tasty Rockstar Chedder Cheese and a Spinach, Feta & Onion Tart which my husband enjoyed very much for his lunch the next day. Weâll definitely return to visit the animals when we go back to enjoy the Animal Experience and weâre looking...
