I must start by stating my reviews always reflect how I feel regarding expectation vs reality. I'd heard good things so had a reasonable expectation that the food would be good. My wife and I started with some nibbles and starters to share. King prawn each, squid, caprese salad, olives and arancini. All were delightful, especially the king prawns. For main I had a prawn linguine ( waiter recommended) and my wife had the ragu. I must confess that the cream sauce worries me a little, it often tastes of little else but cream. However, this sauce had good depth. You could taste lemon, tarragon and a hint of chilli, which were all very pleasing on the palate. The prawns were brilliantly cooked and plentiful. Really good dish. My wife's ragu was similar in quality. Rich meat sauce and well made /cooked pasta. We had the small plates and they were plenty big enough with starters! Very generous portions.
Overall a really good experience. All food was washed down with a decent bottle of red (montelpuciano D'abruzzo).
The service was excellent from all staff but particularly the young lady whose name i forget (maybe the Influence of the wine )..
Excellent value for money, really good food, excellent service, a job very well done. And all for £90 with a...
Read moreI have been to this pub three times in the last three years. It won't be four times in four years. Our first visit was pleasent enough, the Landlady was engaging and the food nice enough. Not much of an atmosphere but as we were the only people in there at the time thats perhaps to be expected.
Our second visit was a Saturday afternoon, we walked through the door at 13:45 only to be told by the Landlord not to bother as he was closing up. When we asked why as their advertised opening hours (written on the board in the carpark) said they were open until 14:30. He promptly stated he wasn't staying open just for us.
Our final most recent visit was a mixture of our two previous times. The food was nice but the Landlord did not make us feel welcome and the atmosphere was cold at best, we ate and left. When we visit family in the area we often eat out and enjoy staying for a few friendly drinks after, this is certainly not the...

I had the pleasure of attending The Swan Pub's reopening night in Little Waldingfield, and what a fabulous evening it was! Ashley (owner), Rhian (manager), and the entire team were incredibly welcoming and made sure we all had a brilliant time. The pub features a central bar area, a separate lounge for the restaurant, and a spacious patio and garden with plenty of seatss and tables.
They offer a great selection of beers, including supporting two local breweries, and all the usual spirits you’d expect. The food menu has an Italian theme, which was delicious, and fairly priced. Parking is also available.
I would happily recommend The Swan to anyone looking for a great...
