BEWARE AFTERNOON TEA IS NOT AS IT IS PORTRAYED ON THE PHOTOS - UNLESS YOU AGREE TO HAVING THE PHOTOS TAKEN. THE DELUXE PACKAGE ONLY INCLUDES EXTRA TEA, AND AMERICANO, AND HOME MADE CHIPS, BUT I WAS TOLD EXTRA ‘DRINKS’, AND ‘FANCIES’ WHEN BOOKING AND PAYING THE EXTRA CHARGE FOR THE DELUXE PACKAGE. I ASKED FOR A LATTE AT THE COUNTER WHEN I ARRIVED, NOT KNOWING IT WAS NOT PART OF THE DELUXE DEAL, AND WAS THEN MADE TO FEEL LIKE A CRIMINAL AFTERWARDS FOR DOING SO BY JOSH, THE GENERAL MANAGER, WHEN HE BROUGHT THIS TO THE TABLE, AND TELLING ME THERE WOULD BE NO MORE UNLESS I PAID FOR IT. STRAIGHTAWAY I WAS MADE TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. WE HAD THE EXCUSE THAT THEY COULD ONLY FRY FROZEN CHIPS BECAUSE THEY HADN’T HAD A DELIVERY (I’VE HAD THE ‘NO DELIVERY’ EXCUSE BEFORE AT AUDREY’S) - IT WAS JUST LAZINESS, AND AGAIN, WILL HAVE BEEN BECAUSE WE SAID WE DIDN’T WANT THE PHOTOS TAKEN, FOR THEM TO BE PUT ONTO FACEBOOK. AND WE HAD TO BOOK AND GIVE 2 DAYS’ NOTICE!! THE FEMALE WHO SERVED US SAID SHE HAD BEEN THROWN A ‘CURVE BALL’ BY HAVING TO DO SOME GLUTEN FREE AND VEGAN FOOD WHEN SHE ARRIVED THAT MORNING, WHICH WAS VERY RUDE. THERE WAS LESS GLUTEN FREE FOOD DESPITE THE FACT THAT AN EXTRA CHARGE HAD ALREADY BEEN REQUESTED AND PAID FOR 2 DAYS EARLIER, FOR BEING GLUTEN FREE!! THERE WERE SOME LOVELY CAKES ON THE SIDE FOR SALE, BUT APPARENTLY THESE WEREN’T PART OF THE DELUXE PACKAGE, WHICH I WAS EXPECTING FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD WHEN I BOOKED - AND HAD SEEN ON FACEBOOK!! WE WERE GIVEN THE SMALLEST TEA POT EVER FOR 3 PEOPLE, AND HAD TO GO AND ASK FOR MORE TEA DESPITE HAVING PAID FOR THE DELUXE PACKAGE. AND WHY AMERICANO ONLY (WHICH I HATE), AND NOT LATTE, WHEN IT IS ONLY THE SAME CHEAP COFFEE MACHINE STUFF ANYHOW? WHEN I WENT TO COMPLAIN, I WAS ASSERTIVE AND TOOK PHOTOS OF THE CAKES ON SALE, TO SHOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE AND THE PLAIN BLAND STUFF WE HAD BEEN SERVED, BUT THEY THEN SAID AFTERWARDS THAT I HAD SHOUTED - I HAD NEVER RAISED MY VOICE!! AUDREY’S DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL, AND WILL LIE AND SAY ANYTHING TO GET AWAY WITH DEALING WITH A COMPLAINT. I DID SPEAK IN AN ASSERTIVE TONE AND WAS NOT ACCEPTING THEIR EXCUSES ANYMORE, AND THAT’S WHY THEY THEN TRIED TO DISCREDIT ME. I EVEN HAD ONE OF THEIR WAITRESSES SHOUT OVER ME WHEN I WAS TALKING AT THE COUNTER WHEN I ARRIVED, WHICH I FOUND VERY RUDE!! WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE OWNERS, I WAS TOLD THEY DON’T WORK AT WEEKENDS, ONLY WEEKDAYS - JUST SAYS IT ALL ABOUT THE RUNNING OF...

This was second time I visited, the place was reasonably busy. The decor and atmosphere was nice but a little loud at times. I decided to have a breakfast which was lovely but they missed an item off my order and didn't resolve when I mentioned it just a apology ie not a reduction for missing item. The previous time I visited too I think they made a error. This seems to be down to staff rushed and communication skills. I thought the pricing was in line with most cafes and because the food was nice I would return again ,hopefully next time they will get my order correct.

I have returned several times and the food has been great , plus large potion sizes. Staff very polite and service better especially if they are not overstretched. It can get noisy when they have large bookings like kids birthday or baby showers etc . I try to pick quite times but even then it's still quite popular. I have had a few items now from the main menu. Fish fingers sandwich, the lasagne and chips, and Toastie. All great I am going to update my 3 star now to a 4 star. The only reason I Havnt given 5 stars is the deserts are not to my liking the cakes or cheesecake are too heavy and sometimes dry. Also would prefer wider choice or daily special on both main menu and deserts.

Overall I would recommend this place , but as it can get noisy or busy maybe take some ear plugs or go...

After being regular visitors since Audrey’s opened, we will not return again after our experience on Sunday. A group of 7, the first 4 meals arrived after 30 minutes from ordering, great. We waited another 30 mins before my friend went and asked where there remaining 3 were as my toddler was getting very frustrated. The manager Lesley came over 10 minutes later and I again asked, she rudely said “you gave me the wrong table number we don’t even have a table 13”. We were at tables side by side 14 + 9. My friend assumed we were table 13 as it was next to her table 14. I said to Lesley “well if you knew there’s no table 13, then why didn’t you come to check” and she replied “because it’s not my problem” and left. She was then overheard talking about our party behind the counter to colleagues, my friend went over and said “how unprofessional of you to be talking about customers” we literally only asked how long our meals would be 🥲 Lesley said “I can say what I want round here”. I said to her “wow you are so rude” to which Lesley replied “why, because you’ve had to wait for your food? Boo hoo” and said we were obnoxious 😅 My friend then lost her rag and Lesley was shouting over the counter at her until we went back to our table.
