Friendly and attentive staff, excellent tea and coffee, sandwiches, meals and cake. We took our Grandchildren for a walk through Thurgoland tunnel and this was the ideal spot to rest and eat before heading back home. The selection of cakes was far too tempting not to try and every plate was cleared. We will be back.

Our cycling group called in and every effort was made by the staff to serve as as quickly as possible. Both food and drinks arrived within 15 mins which was quick considering our order was substantial. And both food and drink were of good quality. We shall call again.

Easily one of the best Full English Breakfasts I've had in 37 years on this planet... easily. Top tea, coffee, bread, baked goods, ambience, location and service. A gem, among the gems of Wortley and its surrounding area. See you again!

Unfortunately the place didnt have facilities to pay via card which with no cash machine nearby and the nearest a mile away (which was also out of order) meant my bf didnt return for half an hour. In this time I was not even offered The tea we had ordered while I waited. The food was pretty nice to be fair (lrg breakfast and a bacon and egg buttie) however on being told the toast and hash browns would arrive shortly they never came. On asking for them (after finishing the breakfast) with an additional teacake they returned again without hash browns. Again toast and teacake was fine however if you are paying i feel they should spread the butter for you. After our hour and a half visit which was less than expected we were charged full price despite being told we wouldn't be charged for the hash browns and teacake....

Have been taking my elderly mum and aunties here regularly for many years when it had small tables and tableclothes which they loved. Last time we went, although the food and service was good, the large tables, which reminded us of a pub, were very off putting and they were very sad at the change and do not want to go again. I know its just personal taste but it no longer resembles the imagine of what one expects a tearoom...

Small tea room with good outside seating for fine days. We stopped only for a pot of tea and a piece of fruit cake but everything was nicely done with a jog of hot water arriving with our pot of tea.

Two pleasant and friendly people serving and everything arrived promptly.

The toilet was clean and handy between the tea room and the Post Office cum General Stores next door.

All in all a really nice experience. We will...
