Greggs — Restaurant in Basildon

Just purchased a breakfast deal at the outlet by the fortune of war roundabout. This has to be the most painful service I have had the displeasure to endure. I witnessed a few transactions before my own and the staff member was exactly the same throughout. Indifferent, unfriendly and unwelcoming. If you are not happy in your job or do not have the capacity to offer friendly service when dealing with the public, maybe suggest a different vocational choice? Perhaps a warehouse where you can be as robotic as you like where only your work colleagues will...

Where do i start, the baguettes are soooo bad they are so hard they cut your mouth to pieces and are so bland and hardly have any filling in them, and the pastries lol always freezing cold, I've never met anyone who likes cold pastries, they get annoyed if you ask if anything is warm as 99% of the time they are stone cold, greggs use to be pretty good but now they are so poor!! If you want to visit a better bakers go wenzels they are levels above greggs and manage to keep hot food hot and their sandwiches are so much...

Thought this place was meant to be new & improved, clearly not! Simply asked for a Cheese Bake / Slice & was firstly given a Bacon & Cheese turnover, secondly given a chicken bake to then be reassured it’s the CHEESE Bake I ordered, even had the staff come around the counter to point out their own error!
