Well you don't know until you've given a place a try ! Rang in advance to see if we needed to book a table, and to ask about the menu as we couldn't find any derails on the Internet. Told that they intend to update their site, for now they are happy to tell you over the phone. The pub was very noisy, with a large TV screen taking over the bar area. The noise generated to the seating area where we struggled to hear ourselves initially whilst waiting for our meal. It did subside as time went on. More a cafe style seating area than a restaurant. The tables are small, so the four of us were definitely squashed. The meals were poor. A lamb pasty with very little lamb in, no gravy accompanied any of our meals. Nutroast just about adequate, but very small potion. Overcooked chips, and a fish portin (clearly from a pack of ...). All the mains were shop bought and not terribly well cooked. Prices reflected a much better meal than any of us were served. Absolutely no atmosphere in the dining area.
