Think the staff were a bit amused by us wanting dinner at 12, but really enjoyed it. When it first arrived (roast dinners) there were mumbles from one of the table that it didn't look much and there was no veg, The veg was hidden under the meat and it's pot luck what you get as its mixed, my Mother in Law didn't get any carrots but I did and it was all delicious (one slice of beef was chewy, but I put that down to the meat, not the way it was cooked) and more than enough for me. The two roasties tasted more like mini jacket potatoes, they might be as they have the skin on, and the mash tastes like jacket potato mash, which I like. Teenagers had pizza and chicken burger, I've been told the chips were really nice, and the pizza eater wanted to go back the next day. The chicken dinner was a cajun? chicken breast, but again was told it was really nice. Will definitely go back at some point.

We was in Tuxford for the weekend at the local caravan park and popped into the Fountain for a drink after a walk, it was a lovely atmosphere with family's and couples, it has a good selection of drinks, my wife had a cider but didn't like it so I went to the bar to buy a different drink the landlady exchanged it without payment which was very nice of her, we will certainly pop in again when we are over that way. ๐

I ordered takeaway fish and chips and pulled pork BBQ nachos. I collected them on time. The pictures below show what cost me 24 pounds. It was inedible. The chips were raw despite being black, the batter on the fish was wet and soggy. The peas were dry like they were actually instant mushy peas or something! The nachos were burned. Never again.
