Let me tell you a story... In the deeply romantic town of Bath, there is an absolute gem called the Forester & Flower. The place is the finely crafted product of an eye for detail the likes of which went unseen since Romans built the Baths. Right across from the bus stop, you are a short ride away from the main attractions, but just far enough away to avoid tripping over merry students of a Saturday night. There is a pub next-door. It is open once a week. This is fantastic. There is a great little eatery just past the bus stop. This is also fantastic. The jewel, in this crowning glory of weekend getaways, is Louise. Organised, welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and completely charming, Louise thinks of everything. Go to this place. It is the whimsical wonderland you did not know you needed.

Booked for a weekend stay as bed and breakfast. Not cheap, but worth every penny for lovely room, unusual and cosy lounge filled with sofas and games and crammed with interesting objects as talking points. Staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, unusually in this age, with knowledge of local points of interest for the tourist and bus routes and times all written out for us. They have good vegan meal options amongst a very interesting menu and paid attention to our vegan needs for an awesome breakfast. Truly, though, the staff make it the fifth star as they are lovely.

Absolutely lovely stay at the Forester and Flower. We stayed in the King room and it was perfect. Beautifully decorated - really quirkie and homely, bed was super comfy, very tidy, nice en-suite shower room and excellent facilities. Couldn’t ask for more, especially for such a good price so near to Bath. Bus stop that takes you straight into Bath a 1 minute walk from the room, couldn’t be easier. Regular buses every 20 minutes and were very kindly provided with a timetable. Would definitely come here again and recommend it to friends. Thank you!

Highly highly recommended B&B in a great location!|Although it said check in closes at 7, we phoned around 5.30pm to say that we were stuck in traffic and may be slightly later to which the lovely owner, Louise, said "no problem, I finish at 6.30 but pop into the bar and the barmaid will give you the keys etc". We arrived bang on 7pm and Louise was still there and gave us so much info on things to do around Bath (with leaflets and a map), where to get the bus (even printed out a bus timetable for us!) and where to get breakfast as it is now only a Bed (not Bed and Breakfast)- no problem for us. ||The room was beautiful!! Very quirky and the attention to detail was amazing. There was plenty of tea, coffee, latte sachets, hot chocolate, milk, sugar and biscuits. There was even a bar of chocolate and a can of gin and tonic! |The place is spotlessly clean! You can tell how much care and attention goes into each and every aspect. |The bar is only open on Friday evenings but, again, lovely and quirky. Barmaid was really friendly and so were the locals that we're in that night, who happened to be the gardener for outside The Royal Crescent- he had plenty of info and recommendations to give us! ||The bus stop is literally across the road with regular buses throughout the day and into late night. |There is a community Hub down the road (3-4min walk) which serve a lovely breakfast, lunch and pizza's in the evening. There's also a chippy across the road too (we didn't sample it).||Overall, we loved our stay and when we come back to Bath again in the future, we will definitely be back to...

The hotel is a mile south of the town centre, it's right on the Number 2 bus route which runs frequently and will get you direct to the Railway Station and central Bath in about 15 minutes. ||We were greeted by the owner who couldn't be more helpful, they told us what bus to get and told us about the history of the pub and surrounding area.||The rooms are really weird, all different beds and it's like sleeping in a museum - there's so much random stuff in there it's like an adventure and you end up discovering new random things! ||Even though they were full of random stuff the rooms were immaculate, as were the bathrooms which included some very swanky shower gel and soaps. ||The rooms all have ladies names, ours was called "Lily". Lily didn't have an en-suit bathroom but we had our own private bathroom just a few feet down the hall- this wasn't really an issue. In some way it was nice to have the bathroom separate. ||The hotel has a lovely bar area downstairs which again is more like a museum, you could spend hours examining all the artefacts! ||We both really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again! ||We chose the Forester and Flower as we wanted to be near Castle Farm in Midford for a wedding reception but were so impressed we'd actually stop here again even if we were just visiting...
