We stopped at this pub on our way home from Salisbury for something to eat. The bar was full of rowdy men the only place to eat was down a slope into a lower area. On walking down the slope our feet were sticking to the carpet it was disgusting. It was a limited menu so not much choice. The photo is the lasagne we were given with burnt garlic bread. We did not eat it, it was disgusting. A member of staff came down the slope in a loud conversation with a man about putting photos on social media. Followed by another women with 2 children in tow who stormed into the kitchen looking for her. We went looking on other tables for cutlery and napkins but none of the tables had napkins and there was only the odd knife or fork on random tables. Food - disgusting Staff - not interested Atmosphere - rowdy Furniture and carpets - filthy DO NOT GO HERE IT IS DISGUSTING!

I stayed here overnight in my RomaHome under the Britstops scheme. You pay a small annual subscription to Britstops and can stay at any one of hundreds of different locations. I chose The Red Lion because it was en route to a festival I was going to. The pub is in a small, attractive village near Warwick in the Midlands. I parked up and had a meal in the pub. You don't have to but the business appreciates it if you do. The staff were welcoming and helpful, offering advice as to where I could walk my dog and refilling my water container for me; the food was very well prepared and tasty, if a little on the pricey side. I would recommend a visit.

It's a great family pub, good selection of beers and lagers, good outside space and garden, big car park...families are welcome, and on the weekends the place is full of kids...if you have kids that's fine, however, the kids are controlled and there is plenty of space for the older guys to drink and yarn away...The food is good, but the portions to big, well to big for me anyway...its a pleasant place..this a local pub, a community pub...it well run clean, and with smile

My friend and I have just left the redlion. While there we ordered food the people next to us ordered food also. A young man brought a pot of onion rings to us 20 minutes later, as onion rings are on our order we accepted them, 10 minutes later I approached the bar, asking for the rest of our order, lady said it comes out seperatly, I told her onions ring come out ontop the burger as a stack. She checked and said we were given the people next to us there onion rings. So next minute the people next to us there burgers came out, then 5 minutes later our food came out with a few onion rings ontop of the burger, the member of staff told us to take the onion rings of our burger and give to the people next to us because they are not able to touch them!!, I put the 3 onion rings back in the pot.gave them to the other table.(if that was me receiving onion rings in that way i would not of accepted them)I told staff member that it was neither of our mistake and that they needed to reorder the onion rings for people next to us. 20 minutes later after I had again approached staff asking where the onion rings were they came out, no apology. I spoke to the people next to me who were very young and shy and said that the service and hospitality was non existent and if i was them i would put in a complaint. No one had apologised, all staff were behind the bar, no one came and checked on us. We got chatting to a guy who told me he is kitchen manager but it is his day off, straight away he told staff to give us free drinks. My friend and I had to leave so declined but the gentleman bless him was so apologetic. Thank you Simon, it is a shame the other staff there did not have your sence of proffesinalism or...

Ordered food at 12:58 no hardly no one in the pub, checked how long food would take as had an appointment at 2pm told 25 mins at 1:31 chased food was told ots on its way chased again at 1:36 was told it was being plated as said I would need to cancel & was told no, ot came out at 1:41 great 4 minutes to wat our meal. Left 3/4's & the 4 people that came in with us & ordered same time where still waiting when we left at 1:46. Funniest 25 minutes I had seen & were not hel0ful in trying to sort the issue

Well had reply, if I had been told it was going to 45 minutes I would not have ordered I am not the silly & don't have money to waste on a meal we wouldn't have had time to eat. Also we ordered on the app so you didnt serve us as you advised in yiur reply or told us the time. It was only when i first chased you told me it was a standard 25 minutes. If someone asked to cancel & gives the reason why then surely you should have said OK let's see what we can do for you & not just say we are plating up (after being told this twice) & look away. You were not that busy. There was a table of 4 people who came in the same time as us, who also mentioned to my husband how slow you were in serving food, a couple next to us who's order you didn't have so where given someone else to ear, 2 guys sat drinking at the table to our left, & 3 ladies came in had a drink & left so how is that busy? I do not like being told I am a liarer which it what appears to be the case that you are...

Disgusting and discriminatory. Avoid. Would give 0 stars if possible.

I was here as part of a wheelchair basketball team Christmas meal. It was booked in advance and they knew the majority of us would be in chairs on the day with only a handful of able bodied people there. When we arrived, there was a lot of confusion on the table. It seems that another party was seated at our table and there was no other suitable place for us to sit. There was also mention of the toilets being unsuitable. After around 20mins of the coach trying to sort the situation he came back saying that we had to leave. This was awful and highly discriminatory practise. They knew our needs, arrival time and party size far in advance and yet they still blocked us out. We were crowded around the bar blocking up the building with all our chairs whilst the situation was attempted to be resolved. In the end we went back to the leisure centre and ordered food in as this was the only "accessible" food location for miles.

Other people in the building at the time were so shocked at our treatment that we heard them talking about how awful it was as we were leaving and several told us that they will also be posting a scathing review over the next few days, so expect a lot more of these to pop up over the next month. We are all disgusted and telling everyone we know to avoid at all costs. They do not...
