SarpN Indian and Nepalese Restaurant — Restaurant in Belfast

Absolutely beautiful decor would be lovely to sit in. Has an Italian style restaurant and an Indian/Nepalese restaurant side by side. We were just passing and popped in to the Indian try as we love a good curry and we weren't disappointed! For £20 they have a deal for 1 portion of onion bhaji and chicken pakora, 2 mains, 2 rice and a nann. But they allowed us to get 2 pakora and 1 rice 1 chips and a keema nann we also recieved complimentary mint and chutney dip as well as popadoms for just 95p extra. I was interested in some Nepalese food so headed down. Really good value and pleasant service. Didn't know it was BYOB so I'll consider that next time. To start, we got chicken pakoras and Chicken momo (Nepalese dumplings) a chicken tikka masala and a chicken tikka samba (Nepalese dish with spinach and lentils for mains). All the food was delicious, the rice lovely and light and I've never had a better naan!!! I'm enthusiastic to go back and try more. The only criticisms I have are that the tikka masala was very sweet, and the menu lacked explainations of the food which led to a bit of googling...

Been here a couple of times. Only go because our friends live beside it. Compared to Diwali, another restaurant on the Saintfield Road that does Nepalese food, it is disappointing. The difference is vast. However, I think they may be related in some way because I have seen them in Diwali for family gatherings. They should carbon copy Diwali in all respects and I would give them a much greater rating. Please take some advice from Diwali. Also I have felt ill on both occasions after eating in SarpN.
