Unfortunately not a great experience, Firstly the music was extremely loud and you couldn't hear the waitress speak. The meal got off to a good start with the Poppadoms and starter being very prompt, the starter was tasty and what you would expect, The main unfortunately took an extremely long time to come out, I ordered a Chicken/Lamb Tikka masala and my partner ordered a Chicken Tikka masala, these were not Tikka masalas, they tasted more like meat in a tomato puree, we told the staff but they did not seem concerned, they did not offer a replacement or refund of any kind, I didn't think it could get any worse until I went into the toilets, there was a lot of mold all over the place, there looked to be blood all around the sink and wall and the hand dryer may have well been made of rust I would avoid this place as the food and hygiene are not up to standards. Also at the end of an Indian you normally find you get offered a warm towel and some sort of mints, we did not get offered any of this.

Arrived for our tea time booking, chairs were uncomfortable and table was hard to get legs under, but oh well... were seated then approached over and over by different staff to ask if we were ready to order, one after another - felt very pressured but took this with a pinch of salt.

Ordered poppadoms, starters and mains, to which it felt like hoovering over waiting for us to finish to clear plates.

While eating one of the prawn currys ordered, we found a thick black hair. Immediately got waitress over who was also visibly disgusted by this and she took it away, was then approached by another member of staff to be told another was being made, informed them we didn't want it. Was told it was already being made and were insisted we took it in takeaway box, our stomachs were turned by sight of the hair in the food so nothing else was ate, there was no apology. They cleared our plates again and then we were left sat for a very long time - after being bombarded by staff on first arrival this was odd - seen to avoid coming over to us, still no apology. Saw & heard our waitress question the bill with staff behind the bar over the prawn curry, lots of talking back and forth then the bill was brought over and dropped, we were then left for a long time before she came back (she was visibly uncomfortable and we understand if was not her fault) to ask cash or card, we told her we were unhappy to pay for the curry with the hair in, she took the bill back - further loud conversation over this, all while one member of staff just stared at us for the duration. The supervisor from the bar brought the bill over with the curry taken off, she said she wasn't made aware of the issue and had taken the curry off - we knew this wasn't true as we'd seen them all talking a bout it (we were sat right by the bar).

It has been usual in these types of situations to be comped in some way for the level of disappointment in the food but at this point we just accepted not paying for that one curry in particular, we felt very uncomfortable about being topic of conversation and victim of constant stares from the workers during this whole time - which is utterly wrong as we had done nothing wrong: we had quietly drawn attention to the issue and been nothing but polite over it. What a disappointment and highly embarrassing for us after taking family to this restaurant with high hopes. Will not be returning and do not recommend. One of our family members were sick the day after just to add the final nail in the coffin of our disgust and disappoint...

We booked for New Year’s Eve as we have had take away from there snd they have been fab….however eating in was a different experience. I have never felt so stressed in my life. The starter plates were taken away whilst we were still eating so had to tell the staff we hadn’t finished. For then another waitress to come over and do exactly the same! How they couldn’t see our mouths were still chewing is beyond me! We ordered a tikka sauce for one of the children to try and then we wanted to order another one and we got tutted at like it was too much trouble for them to do! My sizzler didn’t come with a pot of curry as it stated on the menu. So I asked for it to be told ‘I’ve had it that kid has got it’ no we’ve paid extra for that. One of the popedoms wasn’t cooked and when we asked for it to be replaced they looked at us as to say why?! Very quickly we got told to leave the table as they needed it. (We hadn’t actually booked in until 7:20 but got seated early so presumed we’d have the table to enjoy, relax and have a lively evening but we got told to move at 7:45. My son had to finish his meal sat at the bar. Our bill was over £200. If I’m paying a premium price I expect a premium service which we certainly didn’t get. You need to decide if you’re a pub or a restaurant as the chaos you have created really isn’t working. We won’t...

On entering mount Gurkha a gentleman met us with an hand shake and welcomed us in, shown us to our table, the waitress was very attentive in taking our order for drinks and food. The food came out and everything was delicious and the naan bread the lightest and nicest I have had. Then we finished our meal and drinks, the waitress asked if we were finished and cleared the plates, this was at 8pm, we sat and sat no one came and asked if we wanted anything else, drinks, deserts, coffee and we sat then at 8:30pm I asked the waitress for the bill, she said ok and we sat again others around us paid and left at 8:50pm I asked the waitress again for the bill she said ok, then the gentleman who greeted us at the start came over and asked if we wanted any more drinks etc we asked for the bill, got it and left at 9pm. The attention from the staff initially was brilliant however having to wait an hour to leave without being offered anything else to eat or drink was poor this will need to improve as this could stop some people returning. Luckily we will return as the food was excellent and the initial service was really good, sadly let down at the end. Still a four star review though, will see you...
