We had a cracking meal at Ridgeway Arms and everything about the visit was spot on. The staff were friendly, welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. We started with the spicy king prawn soup which was full of flavour and had a proper fiery kick to it (sorry for the photo was starving and forgot to take an image first) . For mains we went for the fillet steak with fries and the mushroom pasta. The steak was cooked just right and came with a really tasty sauce. The fries were crispy and well seasoned and the pasta came in a creamy white sauce that was rich and full of flavour. Drinks were simple with a black coffee and a cola but both were served fresh and nicely done. The atmosphere in the place was relaxed and comfortable and everything looked clean and well looked after. Overall it was a brilliant experience and we’ll definitely be coming back soon. Big thanks to everyone at Ridgeway Arms for a great daytime dinner.

Where do I start, we arrived at the Ridgeway Arms as the family were taking me out for birthday tea, upon arrival a young girl called Liarna greeted us and led us to our table, she was very enthusiastic and we felt very welcome, Liarna even brought the birthday cake out and sang happy birthday to me a great touch to a wonderful evening. what a lovely young lady.. The food was amazing I opted for the spaghetti bolognaise and cheesy garlic bread which I would highly recommend, my partner went for the bacon cheese burger which also looked amazing.. The owner John came over to say hello having had the Ridgeway for only 6 weeks, he was so welcoming and we had a laugh. Love the atmosphere and food and being local will definitely make this a regular thing.. 10 out of 10 all around.. highly recommend :)

Had a meal here a couple of weeks ago , the lamb chops were nice and cooked to my liking, the steak however was fatty and full of grissel , Also Frozen chips, and the lady forgot my side dish. It was brought as I was finishing my meal . (There was only one table in whom had already eaten the main meal so I don't understand the confusion. I had recommended this place as I used to go when I lived in the area and loved the side veg and home made chunky chips. The chips were frozen which I didn't eat as I don't eat frozen potatoes . Meal and a drink around 50 quid I've spent the same money for a lot better quality. No side of veg for the steak , No atmosphere I won't go again which is a shame as it used to be such a lovely place .

I brought my 2 kids to this place for a treat ! The girl behind the bar was very nice and welcoming I asked for a table for 3 at which point the manager rushed over and directed us to a table (all good ) . I tried to order drinks from the bar but was told to sit down I’ll be over in a minute by the manager (ok ) but I wanted to see the options at the bar so after looking I asked for the drinks I wanted. I was told they didn’t have any of the drinks on display and only had what was in the fridge or 1 tap which served larger (ok) so after ordering our drinks we sat down to look at the menu. After 20 minutes my son left our table to order our food at the bar , he was told by the manager to go and sit down and he would be over shortly (ok) . We ordered the ribs and salmon . This is where it really went downhill! My son and myself tried to eat the ribs but they were soooo fatty we had to leave them , my daughter ate her dried up salmon and burnt sweetcorn simply because she was hungry. Most of the food we ordered was left as we all felt a bit queasy after trying to eat it . Told the manager about our experience but was still charged!!!!! Avoid this place ! I’m not sure these people are even genuine!!!!!...

Unfortunately I came here yesterday with my family. In hope that we would have a pleasant experience. Greeted with a smile (initially). However waited 30 minutes for drinks. The brunette (with pony and bangs) left us a lovely long piece of hair in my food. I couldn’t have been nicer when I said there was a hair in the food and maybe I could get another one? But she couldn’t have been ruder. She asked me if I still wanted it??? Didn’t apologise or smile, she just scoffed and just walked off. My partners steak came after all of us had already eaten the food.

Anyway, I was mortified that I had taken my parents here. Won’t be coming again. My mum had to leave the premises because we just couldn’t believe it, so upset.

Please train your staff in just general knowledge as to how to deal with customers. A smile at the front door...
