I recently had the pleasure of dining here and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment we stepped in to be greeted by artwell the cozy yet elegant ambiance caught my attention. The tasteful decor set the perfect mood for a delightful evening.
What truly made the evening memorable was the impeccable service provided by the staff, especially our server, Michael . His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they guided us through the selection with genuine enthusiasm. Michael recommended the most delightful pairings of dishes and drinks, showcasing a deep understanding of flavors and preferences. His bubbly personality added a touch of warmth that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. They even managed to crack a smile from my usually grumpy teenager!
Now, onto the food. The highlight of the evening was the Butcher's Block. The assortment of meats and sides was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The meats were tender and perfectly cooked, and the variety of sides complemented them beautifully. It was so delicious that we found ourselves struggling to leave room for dessert!
Despite our food-filled bellies, we couldn't resist trying the desserts. I opted for the Banoffee Pie, and it was a decadent delight. The perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess made it a truly indulgent treat. My daughter, on the other hand, chose the Crème brûlée, and she declared it the best she's ever had. The delicate caramelized top gave way to a velvety custard underneath that was simply heavenly.
Overall, miller and carter provided us with a lovely evening filled with delectable food, outstanding service, and a warm ambiance. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a family outing, Michael, artwell and the team at miller and carters delivers on all fronts. We...
Read moreReally great experience. Firstly, Arnie (host/manager), was extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. While being shown to the table engaged in a small casual conversation. The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect. Soft background music to relax their guests while the staff were moving in between tables taking orders or engaging with their guests. It is clearly evident they are very well trained. My waitress was Jubilee who was equally warm and friendly. She allowed me some time to go through the menu with every item being described perfectly. It was difficult to choose. I went with the calamari to start and 16oz ribeye as my main. Now onto the food. Calamari was delivered shortly after ordering. And it was honestly the best calamari I've had in years. Perfectly coated and cooked. Lemon and garlic aioli was paired with which was a great condiment. The calamari didn't last long. Once the plate was removed in less than 10 minutes, my ribeye was brought out. Cooked 100% medium rare (the only way to enjoy a steak) with three peppercorn sauce and fries. Promptly took my photo and dove straight it. Fries cooked properly and well seasoned. Added some peppercorn sauce to them. But the steak was the main act. Again, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Every bite was blissful. Ribeye will always be my favorite cut and the chefs proved why.
Jubilee did offer the dessert menu and I was very tempted to go with the chocolate brownie but the steak was still sitting nicely in my stomach and I was very content. They also have a great selection of different drinks options. I stuck with Madri but could have gone with a double Woodford Reserve if I wasn't driving.
Everything aspect of the night was perfect. And this will definitely be a restaurant I look forward to visiting again in...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my visit. I walked in without a booking, and was happy to see the restaurant very empty so I was certain I was going to get a table. Immediately the gentleman comes to greet up, and asks how can I help. My husband asked for a table for two please. The man then explains how the restaurant is full and he was due to have 40 people come in a moment and that the system was down and unable to book us into the restaurant, but offered us the bar. This is where I’d like to add that my husband is a traveller man. I am not, I knew exactly why the gentleman was refusing us to sit in the restaurant, and that is because he was being racist! If we were black this would not have happened. We eat in here frequently and are not usually treated this way, I understand there is good and back in every ethnic group but you cannot treat people this way. I then said to my husband that I didn’t want to eat here and was made to feel extremely uncomfortable! My husband loves miller and carter and asked me to stay. So I went online and within about 30 seconds booked a table for there and then within the restaurant. The man then brought us through to our table, the food and customer service was pleasant but I wasn’t too happy to be sat right at the back of the restaurant in the corner because my husband is a traveller. I think this is absolutely a disgusting way to treat anyone! And racist! I am not a traveller and I know for sure had I walked in with my non traveller family this would absolutely not have been the case this day! I am...
