Neptune’s Beach Cafe — Restaurant in Borough of Swale

The service is so so slow, The bottom burger bun was stale and rock solid! we waited 40 minutes for a burger and chips and chicken and chips, it wasn't even busy when we got there, 30 mins later I was asked what I wanted on my burger, so I stood up expecting to collect it but the burger had only just been put on the grill, I watched for 10 mins as the queue built up and watched my burger all on its own on a grill big enough to cook 20 burgers, why wasn't my burger cooked earlier? Every 10 mins an order got given out, the fryer was only big enough for two small portions of chips, so I'm guessing this was the hold up for everyone? The chips were nice though. Small beachside cafe with free parking to one side just under and behind the sea wall from leysdown. Popular with walkers and cyclists leaving leysdown Town on the way to shellness. Those out for a walk find a welcome break in this oasis, good, well cooked food with a good selection hot and cold drinks, with ice cream for the young and old alike. Fantastic food, I really enjoyed my experience at Neptune's. I felt welcomed and the staff were really friendly even while they were super busy which is rare 😂 I'll definitely be bringing friends and family next time as the food is just fab for such a small little place. I had a cheeseburger with onions and bacon, and it tasted just like a five guys burger. I would also say try the whippy ice cream as its so worth the money! When you get sauce too it's like a Sundae....
