Me and my family were looking for a place to have Sunday roast and Google suggested me this place. We went and, as soon as we entered, we asked if we could have a table for 3. The owner looked at us and asked us if we had a booking. We didn't have a booking and the place was empty: there were no customers apart from a group of friends of the owner. The owner then said to us that they were fully booked and couldn't accommodate us. So we just left and looked for another place instead. They pride themselves of having a friendly atmosphere but I can assure you that this place is not the case!!! They clearly didn't want to serve us as we were just visiting the Isle of Sheppey and are not from the area. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER...
Read moreHi been using the coppice for over two years now since having a caravan there but today was awful we had friends staying with us and booked a table two weeks ago for lunch today ,like we always do , we turned up at three as planned but was rushed through our lunch upon the plates being taken away we were asked to go into the pub away from our table this was 3.45 we hadn’t even ordered pudding ! on asking Shelley why ? she replied she needed the table for the next sitting how embarrassing in front of our friends wed raved about this pub and food and here we were not even an hour in and asked to move I really hope it was a one off Shelley and her staff are normally so nice and friendly...

Clearly has a captive market as slap bang in the middle of several caravan parks with basically no passing trade. Best way to rate this pub would be to visit the Dickens Inn (also in the caravan parks and defacto the nearest competitor) and compare but as had car couldn't have a second drink.
