I was passing through on a long walk and was delighted to find the pub open on a weekday lunchtime. Proper village pub, with outside seating in the sunshine and tables inside. Enjoyed my beer and rest while everyone else in there was busily board-gaming during their weekly meet-up 🍺🃏♟️😊

I had a fantastic time visiting the Eagle in Hockham - a quintessentially English country pub in a beautiful village in Norfolk. Aaron the barman was really friendly and welcoming when I came in. The pub has just opened a new courtyard and it looks great; good food and a nice selection of beers. I haven't been (going next time) but there's also a quiz night...

Standard village pub with friendly staff and a friendlier dog.

Came in for fish and chips night and it exceeded expectations. Fish was probably better than any of the local chippies. The chips were average, but the generous serving of curry sauce sorted that out.

Dropped in today with my little dog. Lovely atmosphere and VERY dog friendly. Ordered beef n ale pie with chips, peas n gravy. Out came a HUGE piece of pie with perfectly cooked chips- crisp outside and fluffy inside. Jug of gravy and sweet peas- a delicious plate of food washed down with a bitter shandy.
