We returned to the Tythings after a long break only to find it just as nice as before. The food was excellent, the service first class, great atmosphere too. We met up with several friends with kids and everyone enjoyed their food too, including little fussy eaters. There's plenty of room for kids to run around without bumping into people. I even made a new friend in the queue to the bar! A great pub.

Food came out within 10 minuites!, and was worth it, servers were friendly and management were also amazing, highly recommended the Singapore noodles!, would dine again any day!

Nice pub! Quite but probably the time of the day. It has been done up very nicely and has a very comfortable atmosphere. Very nice staff

I’d like to give zero but that’s not an option. Should have posted this a long time ago but forgot. Sister ordered an 8oz steak but was told at the till they only had 16oz steaks left so we said okay. When the food arrived at the table she was served two 8oz steaks? Waited to finish our food (which was okay) so not to spoil the night and then went to the till to ask why essentially we were lied to, we were basically told they had to sell it as 16oz because they needed to ā€œget rid of stockā€ When I asked them how they thought that was okay, the manager walked over and said to the staff member just serve them, he didn’t know what was happening I said we’ve already been served I’m asking a question, he wouldn’t stand at the till, he wouldn’t listen and he definitely wouldn’t answer the questions but he did push a receipt that we didn’t ask for towards me, I pushed the receipt back across the bar and a lady, I assume the managers wife started shouting at me how I was rude and I had thrown the receipt at him. We were almost pushed out of the pub whilst being called names by the manager who said we weren’t welcome back (like we’d be returning) We weren’t asking for any money back or anything like that just simply asking was it necessary to lie. The lady on the till seemed new or nervous and didn’t know how to handle the situation and the managers/landlord/landlady...

Tythings or Deadthings? There's more atmosphere in the local cemetery, 5 minutes away.

Visit on a Saturday evening at 2100, to see 4 people in the venue. No music or background noise to help encourage any atmosphere. Also found it entertaining, that the owner was apparently the lady sat down near the bar, giving me a dirty look just for walking in.

Prices are average, but the 1 barman was friendly enough. I feel for him, having to stare endlessly into the ceiling, patiently praying that somebody will order a drink.

This place needs to engage with the community, your in a prime location to make something of yourself and you don't.

Get a Childrens area, star serving a DECENT Carvery on Sundays. There isn't 1 single, well rated Carvery local to South Bristol, this could be you!

Sort your business model out or sink like...

Go pass The Thythings everytime I see my Dad and Stepmum. Heard some good and bad things about it on Google saying that the landlord and landlady were rude etc. Me and my Dad had a meal here and found that there is a fantastic atmosphere. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The only negative is that pub doesn't serve THATCHERS! I had to make do with a Bulmers which tasted too sweet for me, my Dad bought me a cloudy apple cider which was great. The landlord and landlady should be proud of their...
