Mexi Bean Express — Restaurant in Calderdale

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Ordered my food 3.5 hours ago, and no sign of it arriving. I spoke to the restaurant numerous times who kept telling me the food was on its way. They even told me they were going to speak to the driver and ring me back. They never called back. After closing time I was still waiting and finally got through to the restaurant after 20 mins of calling. Again they assured me the food was on the way but couldn't give me an arrival time. It's now 11.30pm, we've had no dinner as we've been assured many times that the food is coming. We are tired, hungry, have wasted 3.5 hours of our life and should have been in bed long ago as we have work in the morning. We can no longer get through to the restaurant and have no idea if our food will actually turn up. Do we make our own food this late at night? Give up and go to bed? Sit tight and hope the food arrives...

I’ve been wanting to try Mexi Bean for a while now - and the only thing I can say is I don’t know how they’ve got any negative reviews at all! I was unsure after reading them but my curiosity got the better of me! And I am so glad it did. The service was fantastic - all the staff were great and the menu itself shows that they’re definitely foodies! In fact, I was so intrigued by some of the offerings that my eyebrows nearly disappeared into my hair! I got the tacos - 2 lamb and 1 chicken, with seasoned fries and manchego churros. Everything was cooked to perfection and so flavourful I had to exclaim with delight during every bite! The best Mexican I’ve tried in a long time. Would never come back here again, the only thing I liked was the sauce, very over priced could of had a amazing steak for the price of 4 meals, paid for 3 meals with churros only received one chocolate dip to share between us, should have been one each, even if they offered me a 50 percent discount on my next order would not come here again, the price does not reflect the quality of food, if your contemplating to part with your money to try the food I wouldn’t recommend it, I paid £67 for 3 meals and a burrito with some dry Mac and cheese bites, it was worth about £20-£25, I feel like the good reviews on that are left on here are because of the complimentary churros offered for leaving a good review, on a good note the driver Akash was very pleasant young man to speak to.
