I recently did the beginner’s sourdough home-baking course and absolutely loved it. The teacher, Ben, is very knowledgable and happy to answer everyone’s questions. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We made our own dough to take home and bake, shaped and baked a loaf to take with us (photo 2) and also learned how to use sourdough discard by making crackers with it. We also got to sample cookies made with discard as part of the plentiful snack offerings. We learned how to make our own sourdough pizzas for our dinner whilst our loaves baked (I made a white pizza). There were beautiful topping choices prepared for us to design the pizza of our choice. I baked my bread at home the next day using a cast iron casserole and have to say my family were impressed by the results (photo 3 & 4). My sourdough starter has been fed and I look forward to continuing my sourdough journey.

We are basically obsessed with Gilda in our household! We have 2 white sourdoughs a week, and a pastry at the weekend; the lightest, flakiest, crispest croissant, a rich pain au chocolat, or the all time favourite, cinnamon morning buns - you must try these, I’ve never had a more delicious cinnamon pastry ever. As you can see from my pictures, these are all very generously sized. Oh and the Christmas treats are amazing too; best mince pies ever! The bakery itself is great; you can see everything being made, and the staff are lovely too.

Definitely recommend a trip to this beautiful bakery! Everything I have tried has been delicious. The cruffins are amazing... Cinnamon morning buns and the brie and spring onion sour dough are also great! All pastries have been very yummy. Everything's always so fresh, sometimes still warm. Cruffin pictured 📸

I can't express what an incredible experience we had with Gilda's Bakery, and I apologise for the delay in writing this review!

After our wedding at a local venue, we requested Gilda's to cater and deliver breakfast pastries the next morning. They were more than happy to oblige. Peter, who was an absolute delight to meet (even while we were a bit hungover), delivered the pastries promptly in the morning, and we were visually blown away by what we received! The beautifully boxed Cruffins, croissants, pain au chocolat, and more were presented so neatly and carefully.

As for the taste—words fail to do it justice. These pastries were absolutely exceptional, surpassing our expectations. Everyone adored them, and we are already planning a trip down from Norfolk just to visit Gilda's Bakery again.

A huge thank you to Jon, Peter, and the entire Gilda team for adding such a delicious and memorable finish to our perfect weekend. We couldn't have...

CTPT had our run club here today and wow what a beautiful complex. It has an incredible bakery which I couldn't resist to sample some of their delicious cakes and bread. There is also a lovely cafe and a butchers. They make all their sausages and bacon which I had to pop a few of these into the shopping as well. This place was busy at 9am on Sunday which indicates how popular it is and it's a lovely place to spend a few hours. There are some beautiful walks as well so you could make a few hours of it then treat yourself to a lovely breakfast and a...
