Beacon Hill Kitchen & Deli — Restaurant in Charnwood

The staff asked if I wanted my ice-cream in a tub or a cone, I hesitated because I wasn't sure if her hands were clean after sorting out the till ... guess what, she started putting gloves on and I was so grateful, pointing to her gloves, I said, 'Definitely a cone, since you're wearing gloves.' Unexpectedly, she said, 'Of course, I wouldn't ....' I was so gobsmacked! Going through Covid, she showed her five stars understanding about hygiene. I can't wait to go back to Beacon Hill and the cafe again. It's a shame I missed getting her name.

Please give her my utmost respect for her professionalism! I visited Beacon Hill cafe on 7 July 2022 and had the ice-cream around 3.30 pm - 4.30 pm.

What a lovely lady. What a lovely day...

First time here as we were meeting our daughter after starting Loughborough Uni this year, and she wanted to see our dogs. Really convenient place to meet up, give the dogs a run, they loved it, and have some lunch at the cafe. It was a lovely sunny day, so we sat outside to hVe lunch.

There was a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks, toasted sandwiches, baked potatoes etc. I must admit that the cost did take me aback somewhat. There were four of us, and we had 4 x taosted sandwiches and 4 x drinks, and it came to just shy of £50!

The food was nice, but £9 for a toasted sandwich, I thought was a bit much. It was a good job it was nice and sunny and the staff were really friendly. I might stop off at M&S...

This is a very nice cafe. I often think it is the little things that make a difference and those little things were on display. Three of us ate their 'light' breakfast which is as big as many 'full' breakfasts I have eaten in hotels across the country. I ordered an Americano coffee to go with it and my son asked for an Americano with milk. Our server was keen to make sure that I had the very full cup of coffee and my son had the slightly less full cup, where there was room for the milk. And the milk was hot. That's just great care and attention in the kitchen and from the server. This was a great breakfast, but for the money it was a fantastic breakfast. Very highly...
