We travelled 4 hours down for an engagement meal where two families were supposed to meet for the first time. We’d booked a table with plenty of notice that we will be bringing a dog (dog friendly restaurant). Upon arriving we were rudely told the area we’d been seated in we could not take our dog into even though we’d made it CLEAR that we would have one. The families had to be split with 2 members having to be seated downstairs with the dog separately. The manager was rude and unhelpful, and didn’t seem to believe that we’d told them about a dog - stated he will be listening to the call - go ahead!

The building looks lovely from the outside, and has a feeling of a cosy traditional pub on the inside.
We all ordered roast dinners and everyone loved their food and the servers were super friendly and accommodating.
In my opinion, it's one of the best roast dinners in the area. The meat was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were excellent, vegetables were tasty and Yorkshire was NOT burnt!!! (like most other restaurants 🤣)
Disappointingly, there was no cauliflower cheese left, but the staff were nice enough to offer broccoli cheese as an alternative!
It's definitely worth a visit if you have not...
