We went for lunch there today and the food was excellent (though somewhat overpriced), but on this occasion the service was appalling. We waited for ages to be served, even though the place wasn't particularly full, then our food arrived before our drinks. We'd almost finished eating and I went to the front to ask about the drinks - it turned out they'd forgotten to bring them, and were apologetic, sort of. I cancelled my order of pink lemonade and ordered a cream tea instead. The tea arrived and 10 minutes later I still didn't have my scone, jam and cream. I again had to go to the front as none of the staff had been near our table at the back and when I asked the lady at the counter about my scone she told me unapologetically in a very impatient, rude tone "yes, he's gone to get cream and the kitchen knows about the scone". Also, we had a 3-year-old with us who proudly went to ask for the bill and, ok, not everyone likes kids, but the (same) lady just told her "alright" and marched off without even smiling or...

This is the 2nd time we've been to this cafe and both times the service has been absolutely first class. The waitress was really nice, the food was hot, tasty and well presented and arrived at our table in a matter of minutes. Its always rather busy and parking can be tricky, but its worth driving round the block a couple of times to eat at this cafe. Prices are fair. Well done to all the staff, this place is a real find, thoroughly...

Hidden gem in the Stock crown of dining venues. We had the Friday night Spanish Tapas for the first time, which was excellent. We look forward to the Asian tapas in the new year, post the omicron lockdown. Covid reduced the numbers in the restaurant which must be very disappointing for the staff and owner. They sadly missed a very good night. We have never been let down by either the quality of the food or service whenever we visit...

A lovely, rustic, neat, friendly coffee shop, where we felt warmly welcomed. Food was freshly made and very neatly presented with thoughtful finishing touches. Staff here are genuinely interested in catering to customers' dietary requirements. Ambience was relaxed and convivial. Loved the interesting decor. Highly recommended!! Suggest booking in busy season. Looking forward to visiting again soon!!

We love coming here after a walk in the surrounding countryside. The food is always great, and the service is warm and friendly. Wide variety of options on the menu, from light bites to full meals. The portions are always very generous and beautifully served. We have mostly visited for brunch and a coffee, but we must come back for one of the tapas evenings, we've heard great things!
