We booked in for one night stay and booked Sunday lunch for later in the afternoon. The experience was excellent from beginning to end. The roast dinner was exceptional. We always rate our roasts on the meat and roast potatoes. They did not disappoint. In fact the roast potatoes where the best we have had. There was plenty of meat and the beef was cooked to perfection. The veg was plentiful - we did not have to ask for more. Thev also brought out plenty of gravy. The staff were very attentive and friendly. A very warm atmosphere, beautiful decor and views across the countryside.

The breakfast was also delicious with plenty of choice. The sausages were great quality and all presented beautifully. Plenty of coffee and toast.

Honestly one of the best afternoon teas I've ever had. Myself and some family friends went on Saturday and I could not find a single fault with our experience.

The cakes were beautiful, the scones were light & fluffy, and the sandwiches had so much flavour! We could choose from a fantastic selection of teas, pots of which were gladly refilled by the very attentive staff. When we couldn't finish it all (we tried our hardest, but were ultimately defeated) our server brought some takeaway boxes. The room itself was beautiful (we were in the De Beauvoir room), apparently it has just been refurbished. We can't wait to return, maybe we'll try the Sunday...
