We came here last Thursday for dinner with my partners mother. We received great service even though we were seated in the garden (upon our own request) and our waitress was very attentive. The food was delicious and the portions are huge! I had to take half of mine home, which provided lunch the next day. The waiting time to be served and for food to arrive is sheer non-existent. Also really pleased to say that the facilities are spotless and there are plenty of Covid measure in place, such as hand sanitiser at the entrance, a track and trace and one way system throughout. Just noticed that the Royal Sun is part of the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme and secretly planning...

Such a wonderful pub that needs to stay open!!! 3 of us went for drinks & dinner. It’s a comfortable pub, with all the right vibes. The menu is small & not your usual pub prices, but for good reason.. the dishes are put together with a quality found only in top restaurants. My colleague ordered the main vegetarian dish, & I ordered the prawn, avocado & cous cous starter with fries, expecting a naff prawn cocktail dish, but it was so much more- absolutely delicious & worth every penny. At the moment it is shut on Mon/Tues, but looks closed all the time (they are not allowed to light up the outside too much as they are close to the road). Please go here. Make it viable....

We visited last night for dinner which was very good however we do have a problem with how quick everything was done. It appeared to us they couldn't wait for us to get gone. Instead of a relaxing leisurely get together with nice food we were in and out in 1 1/2 hours. Ended up going back to the other couples house for coffee as felt they obviously needed the table back. There is fine balance between good service and being pestered all the time. The plates were taken while my sister inlaw was still eating and her glass taken before she had even finished her drink. Its a good place to go for a great meal however you really need to tone down the promptness of...

I don't understand the reviews, there's nothing excellent about this indian restaurant - yes its indian food in a 18th century country house that used to be an English Pub. Average, if not below average indian food. Ok, if you think you find yourself in the wrong place but don't want to leave and look for another restaurant, you also have the "move mountains Burger". The owner comes to the table very often, helping the staff put the food on the table , the food comes in bowls and his thumb inside the bowls takes away anyone's appetite...

Dreadful owner who treated everyone rudely and disrespectfully. Can’t even believe someone running a restaurant could be so sour. The food was bland and the potatoes were so dry and tasteless. Bathroom door was difficult to open from the bathroom side. Watched three people struggle to open a heavy door with a tiny metal knob up top. Also dangerous to have the door right next to the sink & hand dryer. See photo. It was hot inside and honestly we wished we didn’t stop there. Not much good to say except the waitresses were nice.
