My first Christmas lunch and I thought I treat myself a lovely hot coffee with Tia Maria. I had to wait for the coffee cocktail and that was ok but when it arrived it looked messy, then I tried it was not very warm but I didn’t had heart to complain so I drank it until the last sip then I could feel something in my mouth and realised I had a fly in my mouth so it was nearly dissolved and I thought I was going to trow up. I told the staff what happened and I had the fly on my finger, the staff didn’t think anything as it was supposed to be normal, they didn’t handled it very well. They didn’t apologise say anything so I had to say I hope my glass off wine will be free of charge as already paid £7.25 for my cocktail. Anyway we carried on with the celebrations and then my Christmas lunch arrived. Looked very nice, food was hot and I enjoyed it until I thought my Christmas sausage looked a bit pale so I joked with my husband you can have it as it looks undercooked. My husband ate half and realised that sausage still raw. Told staff again and no one raised an eyebrow…. Well i think its not the way how to run a restaurant, i know everything is not perfect but at least recognise the problem. Just a sorry and an apology would have been nice.

We often use the Granary Restaurant at Waldergraves as the quality of the food is of high quality. They also have a good range of choices on their menu. The restaurant is well laid out and suitable for wheelchair users. It has a good size disabled loo, which is easy access. They have a reasonable amount of staff which are attentive. Although they offer fresh salad options, my only request would be to add fresh vegetables to the menu. Overall they do a fantastic job and I always enjoy visiting!

Just visited today for the first time on recommendation. Excellent all round, faultless! Atmosphere is lovely, warm and welcoming, staff were excellent and friendly. Breakfast was second to none and price was very good for the quality and quantity. The roast dinner is on another level! Highly recommended. Can’t believe we haven’t found this place before. We will be back very soon.

We have eaten here a few times over the years. Service is normally quick and friendly. Sadly today's service was the total opposite. The 'greeter' was friendly and showed us to our table. We then had to wait 20 minutes just to get our order taken and was on the verge of walking out. The place wasn't even busy (only 6 tables were occupied). People who had come in after us (but served by someone else) had their orders taken and food brought out even before our order had been taken. The waitress who took our order wasnt as friendly or cheerful as the staff there normally are. She even wrote down one order wrong (there was only two of us). Food as usual was really nice and the waitress who brought us our bill at the end was friendly...

Good mid range, quality food, ate breakfast here every morning and ate a main evening meal here once.

Prices are reasonable and there was nothing wrong with the food. Staff were friendly and approachable, and were really up for a chat and a laugh.

The conservatory section looks out over the pool which may upset some people as the pool gets hella busy in Waldegraves during the summer days. But if it bothers you there’s plenty of inside seating as well.

Also, fully stocked bar and no reservations about an early morning Bloody...
