What an absolute gem of a pub, went there to watch the England game after ringing a few days earlier to see if they were showing it. Phone enquiry was very friendly and the welcome on the day was even better, a local pub full of local people and even though we we were "outsiders" from the hotel up the road we were treated as locals by everyone. The following day we walked past on our way into Cirencester and Tina and co, who were sat outside, not only recognised us but remembered our names. A proper pub - I thought these had all but disappeared. Lovely, traditional cosy beamed front bar. No loud music, people actually talking to each other. 4 cask ales - tried 2 and they were very good. Cirencester is really up itself, petrol several pence dearer than swindon, beer prices dear, housing dearer, resturants ect ect.
