The Oak Restaurant — Restaurant in Dacorum

We came for a family meal on the 10th Dec 2023 our table was booked for 1:30 pm and we were a party of 8, when we arrived. We were the only ones in the restaurant but we had to wait 45 minutes to get our drinks then once we ordered our food we had to wait another 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did arrive, not only was it cold, it was also impossible to get your knife through any of the vegetables we asked to see the Manager and was told that they had another party of 70 people in another room and apologised. Nicely presented breakfast, courteous staff, classy ambience. Beautiful location. This was my 'hots' choice which accompanies the 'cold' buffet. Tea and coffee on self serve tap. Anything espresso based not on offer, even at extra cost, porridge not available, and 'supermarket' toast loses one star.
