Blueberry Kiosk at Parsley Hay — Restaurant in Derbyshire Dales

Saturday 13 May 2023. 4pm. I fell onto my arm getting off my bike near the kiosk and broke it, which hurt quite a lot. We’d parked at Bakewell & cycled 13 miles from the car. My husband left me sitting on a kiosk bench, told the girls what had happened & that he was going to cycle back to Bakewell, pick the car up & come back for me & my bike. The girls immediately offered to help - Angela cheerfully kept the kiosk semi open while keeping an eye on me and Senga took my husband to Bakewell, making the whole ordeal shorter than it would otherwise have been. I am eternally grateful for their help. The coffee & cakes we had just had before...

Really good paninis & the hot chocolate is well chocolatey (I think it's vegan but it's very creamy as well as tasting like proper chocolate). Great choice of food for vegetarians (me... much better choice than most cafes) & looks like lots of options for vegans too. Really good food and great coffee. Absolutely perfect as a lunch stop cycling either the Tissington Trail or the High Peak trail. The staff are lovely too, and there are beautiful views to enjoy while you eat.

Visiting on a busy weekend day the queue gets long and the service takes a while, but it's worth the wait if you have time. And it's much quicker on quieter weekdays. We've been there twice in the last week and would happily stop...
