National trust member and regular visiter to longshaw. Called in cafe after walk, selection of cakes and drinks excellent, service ok, but staff seem totally unmotivated. Asked for a plates for our scones and were told they are not ready yet and to use cup saucers that were on the counter. Then asked for large plates and were given them reluctantly. A lady then came in to collect an item she had left previously, and was told the manager had gone home and they did not know where the item might be. Read moreThey have dog friendly tables reserved for visitors with their pooches. Coffee tastes really nice and so does the steamed butterscotch drink made with milk of your choice. The pasty range shows a wide range of pasties, vegetarian options included. We had the cornish pasty and it tasted very original. Before home time we had their diary icecream which was nice too. All staff at this car park were nice and friendly and we were even shown the map of different walks and explained what we will see. We got drenched with rain but thoroughly enjoyed our day out. Thumbs 👍 up for an excellent service...
