I wish I can give a 0 rate but you need at least one to comment. I have found hair in my food! Didn't make a big deal about it as it could happen. Showed it to a young lady, she took it back. Second plate same again. As if they didn't even bother to make another one. Wasted 1 hour of my holiday! But the worst thing is after that when I went in to ask for my money back the bar staff were questioning me! He was so rude about it and made a big seen! When I was nice enough to be quiet about it so the other customers don't lose their appetite! He then shoved the money in my hand and with a sarcastic voice said have a great day! I work in hospitality industry and in numerous camping and tourist blogs, forums and in FB for sure I will tell everyone not to go to this pub! There is a little tea room right next to them with amazing food and lovely waitresses!

Edit to your comment to me: Your CCTV can see hair...maybe you should use it to check food before serving!? I was very nice with the others so do please watch it again. All your comments/respond to all the other (including to mine) negative feedback is appalling and with sarcasm! Learn to apologise and take a feedback learn from your mistake instead attaching your customers! The only reason you have customers as there aren't any other pub or not many! If you would be a manager or owner in a city you would have...

Firstly as a positive the staff were very friendly and did their job well and this gave a nice friendly feel to the pub sadly that’s where the positives end. From the outside the pub was nice but inside was quite rough around the edges and not clean. The seats on the chairs which were of a velour type material were very marked and needed a good clean. The radiator that our table was situated by was filthy. The menus were marked with dried on food. The beer was watery and the beef pie that we ordered was very poor with lots of chewy meat that we couldn’t eat, so we left most of the meat, hopefully this gave a big hint! The chips which were supposed to be homemade were also very poor and dry, not at all what you’d expect when it says homemade chips on the menu. The vegetables were mediocre. The gravy in the pie was the nicest part of the meal. Our fault we should have left before we ordered the food on seeing the decor but we hoped that the food would be good. We also should have complained and asked for some money off the bill because of the disappointing food but we just paid up together with an already added 10% tip. We won’t visit again, but we hope this review will help with obvious issues for the pub to take on board...

Amy and Dan are the best pub landlords in England! We were lucky enough to be the first people to have a wedding in The Bulls Head pub garden and we are so glad we did! Amy and Dan are a wonderful combination of laid back and competent, in the build up to the wedding they were calm and accommodating, giving the whole pub garden over to us and keeping my nerves down as the big day approached. On the day Amy was so attentive and regularly popped up with a fresh glass of champagne for me and Chris so we were never without a drink, and I know she was just as lovely and attentive to our family and friends too! Dan was equally fab with his sidekick Casper, ensuring we were well set up for the caterers and bands and even staying to the very last to help us bag up all the left over food! The Bulls Head itself is the most wonderful quaint English pub set in a village that oozes Derbyshire charm. We had the most perfect day, one we will treasure forever - thanks so...

This delightful whitewashed former coaching inn is located on the main street. Popped in here on a Sunday afternoon while on a day excursion. It seemed to be the only place open and it was packed, but the bar staff though very busy were really welcoming and friendly. The bar lounge is cosy and full of olde-worlde charm, with oak beams and nostalgic old photos on the walls. Good choice of beers and ales. Only had time for a drink, so I can't comment on the meals other than that the food I saw other people eating both looked and smelled good! Enjoyed a cold refreshing lager and lime in the beer garden at the back of the pub. It's a pleasant space with a beer tent, shady parasols, a nice view and a casual friendly vibe. Quite a few people were here with dogs, so canine friends are obviously welcome! Only a brief visit but a very pleasant one. Would be happy to return to try one of their traditional pub meals!

From the minute we walked in we felt welcome even though the pub was very busy, the service was professional and fast. All of the staff were attentive, polite and delivered outstanding service. The ambiance of the pub is great, with lovely decor and a cosy feel. I had a great stout (3 in fact) and my wife had a beer. The food was amazing and again service was absolutely brilliant. The beef and unicorn pie was delicious and packed with quality beef, chips cooked to perfection and a lovely portion of veg. Would like to say thank you to the whole team and you have a pub you should be really proud of! We come from Thame in Oxfordshire and have some great local pubs and bistros, but you would top most of them. All the best John and Helen Ps - would have given you more stars but limited to 5
