The Nags Head — Restaurant in Derbyshire Dales

I really can't fault this place, the manager is very friendly as are his staff. The food was Excellent, I had "Chicken in Stilton & ham sause with chips" the chicken was cooked spot on, the Stilton n Ham sauce tasted just right as not to over power. The chips were absolutely perfect, with nicely done crispy edges and a nice soft (not soggy) inside. Anita had the "Turkey dinner" which consisted of Excellent roast potato (down side there was only one), boiled new potatoes in their skin, stuffing ball, Yorkshire pudding and gravy in a boat, with cauliflower, cabbage, swede squares and carrots. What a little gem! The beer was exceptionally well looked after (Timothy Taylor Landlord) and very reasonably priced, which is rare in this day and age. The service was fantastic and very attentive - both in the bar and at our table. The barman, who also took our food order, was so friendly and really added to the overall experience!

The food was excellent quality and, again, great value for money. The pie was out of this world and a huge portion! I would thoroughly recommend The Nags Head, Hulland to anyone looking for a good honest family dinning experience...so much so we’re back...

Desperately needed the toilet, being as I'm few months pregnant I couldn't hold it in as much as I used too. I thought I'd go in there and use the toilet I had every intention of buying a drink for using there toilet but didn't even get the chance when I was approached by a very rude women who said I needed to ask. Wasn't sure whether I should ask before or after I weed myself or not? If it wasn't for the fact I couldn't hold it in anymore i wouldn't of gave them the time of day! Definitely won't he returning...
