Having read the review about the Fun Weekend at Farthingloe I felt I needed to give a different side to the event. My little one loved doing the woodland trail (which is free) and was given two little gifts for doing it. They do have things for sale in the shop - all really good pocket money things. We also had a burger (from the onsite butchers) and children's lunch-bag in the cafe, which was lovely and also really reasonably priced. 2 Coffees, two burgers and a lunch-bag for about £13. There was a climbing frame and two tennis ball runs, which my daughter loved. There was a playhouse under construction and we saw the donkey and other animals. You could visit here for nothing; take the trail, play in the woodland area, build a camp, see the animals. It is a lovely little place for a couple of hours visit. I will be meeting up with friends for a coffee and play. The coffees are in takeaway cups so you can have a drink and your child can play. There are still a few things which look like they are in the process of improving, like the outside bit for dog walkers to sit in and the playhouse, but I look forward to...
Read moreI recently had the most delightful breakfast experience at Little Farthingloe Farm in Dover, and I couldn't wait to share it. The setting was idyllic, with the farm nestled amidst rolling hills and offering stunning views.
The menu was a delicious blend of classic English breakfast favorites and fresh, seasonal ingredients. I opted for the Full English, and it was absolutely perfect. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was crispy, and the sausages were bursting with flavor. The toast was thick-cut and perfectly grilled, and the beans were creamy and satisfying.
But what truly set Little Farthingloe Farm apart was the quality of the ingredients. It was clear that the farm takes great pride in sourcing local, fresh produce. The tomatoes were juicy and sweet, and the mushrooms had a rich, earthy flavor.
To top it off, the service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure that every detail of our meal was perfect.
If you're ever in Dover, I highly recommend visiting Little Farthingloe Farm for breakfast. It's a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling full...
Read moreSaw flyers and posters advertising a fantastic day out. I will comment on what was advertised... there was free parking about the only accurate thing advertised. The donkey and some grazing sheep were the only animals we saw-both behind electric fencing. The play area consisted of a small rickety, elderly wooden climbing frame with two swings. The cafe was run down and smelled badly of damp esp the toilets which smelled so strongly we couldnt use them. The cafe chairs were broken and dilapidated. The farm shop we visited was full of pound shop toys marked up and some help yourself tasting cups but no bottles to buy or staff to help. Most building a appeared dilapidated or unusable In the end we didn't do the walk as totally disappointed with what...
