Run by 2 very lovely friendly ladies. very clean and relaxing. Ideal while the kids play in the park or when we are on dog walks.

amazing selection of cakes, sandwiches and drinks. Able to offer milk alternatives which is great for me with a dairy intollerance.

They are also amaing with my little boy who has autism and other additional needs. He goes in there like a whirl wind but they dont mind and dont tell him to calm down or if he can be quiet. nothing, this is 1 cafe i know we can take him to and not have to worry.

Incredible coffee, cakes, salads and rolls all at an amazing price. We can all come here as a family, it’s located opposite a lovely play park with free onsite parking, we can all get great food, coffee, ice creams, cold drinks, milkshakes without breaking the bank and there’s a wonderful little book corner upstairs. The owner is really lovely and friendly and all the staff are kind and welcoming! We now come here weekly as a treat. They also do great little events for the kids during half term too which are...

If you are visiting River Recreation Ground for either of the children's playgrounds, to play football or tennis, to use the exercise machines or just for a walk in the fresh air, The Rec café is a good place to get hot or cold refreshments and you can choose a cake, pastry, flapjack or crisps if you are at all peckish.
