The open mic night was good. Good selection of drinks. The place is comfortable and traditional but modern in its own way. Was disappointed that no tea or coffee served after 8pm because the kitchen is shut. Disappointed with the staff, constantly talking on their mobile whilst serving behind the bar and kissing in the doorway. Not very professional.

Awful service awful Sunday lunch. I have never seen such a sorry dinner in all my life!! It was plonked infront of us, no offer of sauces or anything not even an enjoy. I caught the ladys eye behind the bar she came over and said "yeah doesn't look great does it" and took it away, then said over the bar that's all we've got sorry!

Best pub I've been to in a long time. Proper village pub. The food is excellent, the landlord is a proper landlord and makes you feel at home. The locals are a friendly bunch. It's a little slice of heaven. Wish this could be my forever pub! Oh, and there's parking too.

Nice food and friendly new landlord and staff. With a pub as small as this you either have to dedicate it towards food or sport and pub games, as there isn't really room to do both. It would appear that they have opted for the former and taken the pool table out and not gone for the big screen setup. I had a very nice meal there. I would prefer to have entertainment in my local such as pool, darts and live streamed sport etc but I wish them all the best in their new venture and would definitely...

Filthy dirty room. Room nothing like the picture advertised. Dirt on the sheets, duvet wrinkled, nothing matched, towels worn and hard, smelt musty, stained dirty carpet, stairs filthy. Extension leads drapped everywhere. Curtains hanging off the rail. Cancelled breakfast, if the kitchen was as clean as the room I believe we would have been ill. Wish I'd checked trip advisor as we were not the only people disappointed with such a bad B&B. To make things worse the 'manger' didn't...

Food was well prepared and a good price. The staff and service were lovely, beer, which I couldn't have because I was driving, was Timothy Taylor's Landlord - om nom nom. It's a proper village pub and on a Thursday lunch there was a decent number of customers in so clearly I wasn't alone in being impressed. I had a lovely chicken salad and my friends had fish and chips and lasagna. They enjoyed their meals too and the chips were fab. It was like eating round someone's...
