This pub's food has come highly recommended to me over the years from various reliable sources . Delighted to have finally had the experience of sampling a gorgeous roast today and its been worth the wait, I was not disappointed in my expectations. The roast potatoes were divine, very generous with the meat, a good cut. Veggies fab, gravy fab. And I hear this is a community supported pub doing great food and working hard to serve the local community and keep us hungry folks happy. Thank you, I will definitley use again and recommend to...

What a hidden gem! A lovely pub that has become a real community project. Run by volunteers and supporters it is fantastic. A warm welcome by locals and staff. We called in by luck and had an evening meal. A good simple menu with traditional meals all excellently priced. Food was well cooked (very hot too) and a very generous size. Will certainly be returning and have decided to go to their Bonfire night party. Lots of things happening every month. A lovely pub that is better than any large chain. Will...

A community owned pub that needs more support, Carolyn runs the kitchen serving a selection of pub foodfrom 12 till 8 Wednesday thru Saturday. On Sundays 12 till 3.30 roast dinners and a limited menu are available. takeaways and collections are available also. The garden is beautiful, and the outside covered hub is always available, plus free parking. The pub serves real ales cider and lagers and wines and spirits. Prices are very reasonable, and all staff serving you are not paid employees. They are...

New visit last friday 01/11/24, as usual food and atmosphere great, well run pub very worth a visit. Previous visits to this great community owned pub, food very good. Just visited with a group of 21 people for a Friday meal at lunch time, all the food served very quickly considering the number of us there. All the meals were excellent with a very large selection to choose from, and also a great selection of desserts. All in all, a great place to visit. Revisited several times now, always good food and service.

Home delivered Sunday Roast (beef) and chocolate fudge cake.(£19) 20 mins late , I groaned, and so I openned the box..food piping hot, smells good,..first thought ,not much brocoli, moan, not much cauliflower, moan, but then I tried the beef..( 3 thick slices) swoon...top quality ...roasties, swoon, perfect...so lateness forgiven i openned the fudge cake box.. didnt expect to find a generous pot of cream...so in fairness I give this top marks and recommended accordingly

Visited this lovely pub while on holiday in Exeter, after popping in for quick drink we ended up having dinner. Partly due to the lovely smell of the food but also after seeing meals taken out to tables it was a no brainer 😂. We were not disappointed both meals were amazing, although stuffed we shared a lovely homemade cheesecake for dessert!
