This pub's food has come highly recommended to me over the years from various reliable sources . Delighted to have finally had the experience of sampling a gorgeous roast today and its been worth the wait, I was not disappointed in my expectations. What a hidden gem! A lovely pub that has become a real community project. Run by volunteers and supporters it is fantastic. A warm welcome by locals and staff. We called in by luck and had an evening meal. A good simple menu with traditional meals all excellently priced. Food was well cooked (very hot too) and a very generous size. A community owned pub that needs more support, Carolyn runs the kitchen serving a selection of pub foodfrom 12 till 8 Wednesday thru Saturday. On Sundays 12 till 3.30 roast dinners and a limited menu are available. takeaways and collections are available also.
