Myself and 7 friends were staying in Uplyme for the weekend and booked in on Saturday night with Wendy and Co for a meal. They were so welcoming and friendly. Charlie our waiter was fab. Great sense of humour with us bunch of old ladies! Food was all homemade and was delicious. I had the veggie option of nut roast wrapped in goats cheese and filo pastry. So tasty. All our group said theirs was equally as tasty. 10/10 and would love to revisit. Thank you so much.

Excellent Sunday carvery there are two sittings best to book in advance Absolutely first rate Sunday lunch and a great pint of Otter as well,I thoroughly enjoyed my carvery all cooked to perfection The 'Arms' has a small car park and a large beer garden with covered seating and also plenty of room for the sun gods ,it's very picturesque and also boasts a games room The service was faultless and the prices reasonable

We were looking forward to ‘Pie Night’ for a long time, since our friends had been previously. We were not disappointed! The pies were absolutely delicious - especially my fish pie. Out of this world good and hands down the BEST most scrumptious fish pie I’ve ever had. Extremely generous portions, hot veggies, yummy desserts and wonderful service. Really enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to go back for more!

Wendy and Steve were both very welcoming and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are to the back of the pub in a separate building and easily accessed without having to go through the bar. Ours was thoughtfully decorated and very clean, with plenty of room for stashing our motorcycle clobber.

Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful, really set us up for the day.

Even the locals in the bar are really friendly too. It is a lovely place to unwind with a pint or two at the end of a day walking or sight-seeing.

Location wise is ideal, about a mile outside of Lyme Regis itself, with an hourly bus in or out of town if you don’t fancy walking in. Walking back was more challenging due to the hill, but the reward was a pint in the bar!

We will certainly look to stay here again when we are back...

Booked in for Sunday carvery as we had missed out on previous visits to Lyne Regis through its popularity. We were not dissapointed. In fact far from it. One of the best, if not the best, we have had wherever we have been in the country. We were welcomed by friendly staff. Beef, gammon & turkey were the meats on offer and a wide selection of veg. It was all very tasty and surprisingly the offer was to help ourselves for extra, if you had room!! A variety of sweet courses provided but we both had the apple & plum crumble, homemade and with fruit from the villagers. It did not disappoint. A very good helping and also goes down as the best we've ever had out. We were on the second of two sittings at 2pm. So overall 10/10 and we will visit again when...

Not very accommodating! It was pouring with rain outside, went in with my dog, we were confined to a small section of the bar area despite loads of tables being free inside. We were put in very close proximity with other dogs which made my puppy nervous and caused him to bark. This resulted in the landlady being rude to me and asking me to leave immediately because she "couldn't hear herself think". So I had to leave the pub in the pouring rain with half my drink undrunk and I wasn't even given the opportunity to move to a different spot in the pub.

I was mortified and embarrassed. I will NOT be returning to this pub. I do not recommend coming here if you have a dog. This place favours residents...
