We had our wedding reception here in September 2024. From the moment we arrived for the first viewing (when the building wasn't actually finished!) to the clear up the day after, we felt completely supported and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble and Abi was wonderful throughout - she replied quickly and clearly and put us completely at ease throughout. The reception was so smooth and well-managed and the staff even set the tables up for us the day before beautifully. Every member of staff was friendly and professional and we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our day. Thank you so so much Abi and team! Special shout out also to Ruby who was fantastic the whole weekend. We had our wedding reception at The Holt, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The venue itself is absolutely stunning – such a beautiful setting that created the perfect atmosphere for our special day.
The food was truly out of this world. Every single guest commented on how delicious it was, and we couldn’t agree more. It’s rare to find a menu that impresses absolutely everyone, but The Holt delivered in every way.
Ash and his team were incredible from start to finish. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the whole day run seamlessly. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Lovely place, upstairs to take in the views, lift available which I used as can’t manage stairs, so that was a plus The complaint we have is the menu, it’s the same old, same old Everything with chips, fish chips, scampi chips, burger chips, same as any other pub/cafe, we had ham egg and chips, it’s was very nice but we were hoping for something a little bit different, same boring old sandwiches, a couple of salads and an omelette, that’s it, we would have loved something different from chips chips and chips I asked about the Sunday roast which was £17 for one course, expensive unless it’s very special Such a shame as it’s a lovely place and it could have been...
