Our last visit here was 20+ years ago and since then it has changed beyond recognition. Parking and entrance is free to all, making it well worth a visit, especially if you have children you can take. All the facilities are free and there are a lot of them. The play area is particularly good and seems to be a favourite. The Kitchen café is also very popular and can get busy, we couldn't fault what we had although it's not cheap. There are also plants for sale and a couple of show gardens. The star of the show is obviously the donkeys but I thought that the viewing arrangement in the barn wasn't very child friendly and could be improved. It is a charity and it goes without saying that purchases and donations is what keeps them going.

I was really surprised with this place. Usually I don’t have high expectations for remote cafes without any competition in close range, but The Kitchen really try to keep up to high lvl. Food was tasty, and reasonably priced. Place was clean, run smoothly and there is even outside terrace with beautiful view. Don’t miss opportunity to eat there while visiting Donkey Sanctuary.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and it always has a good range of freshly cooked food and cakes. The menu has a few inventive items including veggie and vegan as well as gluten free. This time we had the fish burger and the garden burger with added goats cheese. Generous sized portions and great chips. The best thing is the chocolate donkey ears on the cappuccino 😀

Great menu, vibrant and modern atmosphere, delicious food, incredible views! I had the burger which was massive but really tasty and my husband had the chorizo and cheese panini, both came with some of the best fries we've ever had! And even though we were too full to have a cake the selection looked amazing. All much enjoyed while overlooking the donkeys playing in the field! Prices are very reasonable too, and the...

The cafe is clean and inviting with a range of cakes and pastries to choose from as well as hot cooked food.

The queue for coffee was quite long, but you can see staff work flat out to serve customers promptly, so you cant get annoyed at them.

We bought a range of cakes which included a gluten free and had no complaints.

Their fries were delicious.

All reasonably priced, clean cosy environment and good...
