We've been here countless times and haven't had anything but great things to say about the food. Sadly that changed tonight. It started with them getting our booking wrong and giving our table away but they sorted that. Next it took forever to take our order then the food didn't come out for over 1 hour, then when it finally did, after having to ask about it, they obviously rushed as they forgot to cook the beef burger which they served to the pregnant person (raw beef can cause miscarriages) when we sent it back we were told the chef would come out they never did and that we should have told them she was pregnant. It was only when we went to the bar ask to see them, that they came out. And that's when things went down hill the "chef" was convinced that it wasn't raw, even though the bun was red with blood. Its clear that she clearly doesn't know what cooked beef looks like but also need to retake her food hygiene. Minced beef (beef burgers) should never be cooked rare or medium rare as stated by the food standards agency.

"Burgers cooked rare and medium rare carry a higher risk of food poisoning. Unlike a steak, a burger needs to be cooked through to reduce that risk"

The fact that this "chef" completely denied all fault is just ignorance and disappointing. As we tried to have a respectful conversation she began pointing and shouting, leaving us in shock and again...

Liked: A great site at the back of the pub with a small number of pitches all grass with ehu. Flat and level with direct access to the pub garden. There is a separate amenity block with two lovely unisex bathrooms with a loo, basin and shower. Showers are continuous with loads of hot water and no button pressing! There is also an ELSON point, washing up area as part of this. The landlord was very laid back and welcoming and the beer and food in the pub very good. Walks direct from site to local village and nearby country park and a great location for getting to local towns and the coast.

Disliked: We stayed for three nights and in that time the bathrooms weren’t cleaned. We were the only people there for two of the three nights we were there, so not a big issue but would have been good if there was a mop and a loo brush and cleaner so it could be in some way ‘self’ maintained. The doors on the bathrooms also need looking at as they were hard to close and lock. There was also a bit of traffic noise from the road but that...

A hideous experience from entrance to exit. I think this was hospitality at its worst. We entered the bar to order drinks, we were told to go into the conservatory and someone would take our drinks order....time went by...the pub didn't seem very busy, other customers entered, ordered their drinks at the bar and carried them to their tables. 15ish minutes later we still hadn't been served. I went to the bar and asked the young lady if we had been sent out into the conservatory and forgotten....We were served immediately. I ordered a black coffee and pint of guiness. To add insult to injury the small cup of coffee came in a chipped cup with a used dirty spoon. I took it back to the bar and eventually was served with another small black coffee. We were charged ÂŁ8.10 for a pint of guiness and small black coffee. The apology received, I felt was empty, not backed up with any gestures or sincerity. I wondered if this is how you treat all of your...

Good location in the village, suitable for locals and passing trade. Staff were friendly and helpful in every aspect, answering our questions on the menu. We both chose vegan options and they were absolutely delicious, hot, tasty and good value for money. Only suggestion would be to offer a side of some sort with the Thai dish as I had too much flat bread with my tagine but hubby needed just a bite more, so we shared. Would definitely eat here again if we were in the area, thank you.

Absolutely great site , £28 per night with ehu , lovely toilets and hot showers , new and modern, the George and dragon pub was great on site and the food was top notch, just ourselves all day and night Saturday, stopped Sunday for lunch, the owner said we could spend the day hooked up and use the facilities at no extra cost as they close Monday. wouldn’t hesitate coming back , loved every minute.

This was our 2nd visit after finding this pub whilst away in the area last year. Once again it didn’t disappoint. It’s extremely good value- the potions are huge!!!! The food was really tasty and the steak night deal is really good value. The staff were really friendly and We will definitely visit again if we are in the area again.
