The worst Indian takeaway I have ever eaten. I’ll start by saying what was wrong…

The order arrived two hours after we ordered it ‘ASAP’ and they didn’t once call to say it would be delayed. they sent lamb tikka instead of chicken korma. (When phoning and asking what if I was allergic to lamb, the manager said “well that would be you fault as you’d see it lamb coming out”) the chips were cold and inedible (when phoning the restaurant I quote “they’ve been in the heater and they sweat a bit”). naan bread was cold and somehow wet. no apology offered by the restaurant when phoning. Only a 20% discount if ordering again. I wouldn’t let my dog eat this food…

Initially ordered mid afternoon via the online facility on the website. Initially expected delivery at 7.15pm. Tracked delivery which came up as “being prepared “. Followed up website at 7.20pm and reconfirmed order which then showed 45mins for delivery being 8pm. In short 5 calls later after a promise of delivery in 10 mins, advice that delivery had been completed the restaurant finally agreed they had neither cooked nor delivered the meal. It was now 9pm! I cancelled the order (which online is shown as “delivered “) and received no apology from the restaurant which at best offered indifference. Sad really as the food is good if they ever deliver it. Nothing wrong with the service. It's just the food that's awful. Probably the worst Indian food I've had in all the places I've travelled to (including abroad). This isn't a cheap place so I expected better. We ordered a few things (measly portion sizes). The mixed platter was shocking. For mains we ordered a few and the worst was the desi staff balti; just like the staff eat apparently. Well maybe the do if they have no taste buds (we're of south Asian origins so we definitely know a thing or 2 about currys!) The sauce was basically a ketchup base that was then made spicy by adding chillies. It was horrid. Everything else we ordered tasted like it came out of a tin. The decor was gorgeous. Nice location, good parking. Shame...
