We ordered fish and chips… 90% went back to the kitchen in skin and soggy batter , it was awful. The chips were… well frozen chips from ? I am a local resident and not a holidaymaker so I am doubly disappointed. I have ate here numerous times in the past, especially for the carvery and Sunday roasts. It was always a nice change for us… but it will now have to change in a big way… I will probably check in 2 years hoping the staff/menu and kitchen has changed…. (I am 79 years old and not a fussy person … nevertheless!) Was my go to restaurant for a Sunday roast this past year. However 3 weeks ago we had noticed a big change in the quality. Thought maybe that was a 1 off so we returned again as a big family group this Sunday. I specifically asked about the roast beef that it would not be over cooked as previously . Chefs reply ..that's how he cools it ..

Sorry will not return anytime soon.. Please bring back previous chef..

No problems with staff they were...

We weren't expecting to find such good food in a holiday resort, but full marks to Coast. Breakfast was excellent: a huge full English, or avocado toast with real avocado (not out of a tube!).
