This was the third time I've given the farm cafe the benefit of the doubt, and once again I was disappointed in the quality and value of the food. This time I popped in for a a slice of cake and tea with my partner. The tea was tea, so what can one say about that. The cake however, costing the best part of nearly £4, was a mean and scrimping excuse for a Victoria sponge. Without doubt cheaply made (careful with the jam now!!) and a portion size worthy of 1940s rationing, one expected something a little generous for the price. (See photo of cake as it arrived) My partners cake was equally mean. This will be the third and final time I've given the farm cafe the benefit of the doubt. I've experienced similar 'meanness' with portion sizes and quality given the premium price. The staff were quite attentive and friendly, which warrants 2 stars, but the interior and exterior seating and surroundings are nothing to get excited about either. I'll now avoid at all costs.

Stopped for lunch on the way home and the food was excellent. I am a coeliac plus a raw onion allergy and they were very accommodating, adapting my salad since I couldn't have any of the accompanying relishes. We were also offered half portions which we had as neither of us have large appetites. The prices were very reasonable and the service excellent. The environment is lovely with several choices for sitting, inside, outside but under cover or outside altogether with parasols if needed. We chose to sit inside as it was so hot outside and my little dog would have been too hot. There was a pleasant garden with a dog walk which I went round and my dog enjoyed all the countryside smells as we went while I enjoyed the view and butterflies. Was a very enjoyable lunch and we heartedly recommend a visit.

Lovely spot for breakfast (their lunch menu sounds equally divine but we didn't get a chance to try). We tried the full english (the Suffolk) and the vegan breakfast. Both absolutely lovely, with generous portion sizes. Safe to say we felt stuffed when we left. Also enjoyed a pot of breakfast tea and orange juice - freshly squeezed which was nice for a change. Service was very quick, attentive, and food came out fresh and hot. Lovely atmosphere, clean, and fairly priced. Dog friendly - staff were lovely to the dog and even brought us a little biscuit to give to him. We checked out the farm shop attached and enjoyed the range of products they had. 100% will be back, a must stop any time you are travelling along the a12!

This place used to be amazing. Popped in today and was immediately pointed at to a table by an old female employee. She didn’t greet us or even walk towards us. None of the younger staff were making eye contact to take my order and were just chilling by the till so I had to ask if I can order after waiting 10 minutes.

When food arrived, the young male employee placed the food on our table and abruptly walked off. He didn’t notice that we didn’t even have any cutlery so I had to shout him back over. He then gave us a single napkin to share between two people. So I had to shout him back over to ask for another napkin and for some sauces. There was just no interest in doing things right or checking things were ok. We felt like we weren’t wanted there. Zero customer service.

Concerningly, I specifically asked for no tomatoes with my breakfast but when breakfast arrived it came with a tomato. This is a worry considering some people have allergies.

My fried eggs were overdone and by this point I was so frustrated with having to call staff over that I felt I couldn’t ask for them to be remade. My mother’s ham was a tiny gammon steak covered in oil.

While eating our food, the old female employee was shouting over our table at new customers coming in rather than walking up to them and greeting them. It was uncomfortable, and made my mother jump out of her skin on one occasion. I don’t know why she couldn’t walk around our table to greet new customers.

Upon paying the young male employee asked me how it all was and I politely told him everything above. To which he just said “I’m sorry and thank you for the criticism. Are you paying by card?” This also left me feeling uncomfortable as I wasn’t criticising at all, I was stating what had happened and I was genuinely disappointed as this place used to be so great. I paid in full but don’t think I’d be going back.

In summary, this was such an awful experience. When paying £18.50 for a breakfast you expect good service. Here the service is 0/10. They do not cater...

First time here after refurbishment and so disappointed. Always lovely breakfast cooked to perfection coupled with perfect service from staff. Now seems to be run by teenagers who have no idea of customer service. Only one of them seems to have the ordering Tablet - James was far more efficient with pen and pad! Suffolk breakfast nothing like previous one served with fried hash brown and half hard tomato and one sausage instead of two. Two pieces of uncut cremated bread it was inedible. Only three tables occupied and had to wait an hour for this!! Nobody askef if we wanted anything or if everything was ok too busy chatting by tills, goodness knows how they will cope if busy probably be a day out fot your breakfast as we waited an hour in near empty cafe. Such a shame always stopped here and had lovely experience will certainly not be returning!! When mentioned on way out young man said many complaints received and I am not the first , doubt I will be the last either. No dogs now allowed in shop, even if well behaved although children running around pulling stuff off shevles and screaming seemed acceptable- so couldn't get usual shopping and plants as too hot to leave dog in car so went elsewhere. Bad experience all round and would advise to avoid, many more establishments locally who wish to give...

Food ok Service ok Place is ok, but very chilly at the back end as only plastic fold down screens, so wind blowing through them!!! Not great. Ok if you're in the main part but which is tiny & has a log burner. Not cheap..... Cakes looked amazing, but came in for breakfast. The downside is you cannot book a table. So you could be waiting a while, nearly every table was taken when we left & cars were piling into the car park for lunch, which is great it's busy, but not if you cannot get a table. Toilets 🚻 were very good, brand new. Gravel parking & walkway, quite a step between the 2 rooms & you need to get to 2nd room to access facilities. I wouldn't say totally great for disabled folk & especially where the toilets are situated you have to go through the whole seating area. There is a door in the main entrance, which says staff only, which is direct access 🤔 but perhaps more concerned people will go in use the loos & out again. Who knows??? Won't return until Summer so hopefully can sit outside in the lovely garden with nice weather, warm...
