Arrived at 3.11 for a table booking of 11 at 3pm the manager was very rude and when I said we were slightly late she bellowed your lucky I was about to stop which fair enough so I thought ok never mind. Orders placed then we went to the carvery to be told theres no roast potatoes. Ok again its last sitting of the day I can almost understand although if there knew they had a large table booking why not prepare more. I went to the manager and was very polite to change my daughters meal to something else as she all she really wanted was the roasts and said whilst I was there can you take abit of money off each roast plate please…wow what a rude woman! Proceeding to tell me how being 15 mins late and there was a suitable alternative (mash) I said ok but most people when having a roast dinner want roast potatoes, why didnt someone say when we placed the orders. i asked why she was being so rude to me, and to be honest her lack of management skills and maturity came through. Rolling her eyes, saying she would be in trouble for taking money off each meal which she did eventually agree Ā£2 only when I said I am being polite think about how your talking. She was a real unpolite little lady. The rest of the people serving were nice and the food was good but due to how rude she was I would not recommend. She should not be a a manager she doesnt...

This was my fist time having a cavery.

The staff were friendly but when we first arrived a member of staff initially told us we could head over and get a plate. However, I headed over and observed a member of kitchen staff picking up glassware. I looked at him expecting some communication regarding how things worked as first time and he simply went about his business and returned to the kitchen. Unaware and thinking it was self-service I picked up a plate. The next thing I hear is him telling another member of kitchen staff that he was unaware of what I was doing as I could see him clearing up and decided to pick up a plate. This confused me to no end and luckily I had another member of kitchen staff come out and explain that they were re-setting up. I was glad for the second member of staff but frankly found the first rude. I felt so embarrassed to have been talked about but not talked to by the fist kitchen staff, when it was my first time in the area, in the restaurant and at a carvery of any kind.

The beef I found to be very dry and needed alot of help from the gravy, the turkey looked dry nd so I opted out fron trying it. The pork/gammon won the battle of the meats. As far as sides options go, all the veg was delicious, the only let down was the cauliflower cheese. It was vile, nothing...

11/09/2022 Livingstones very kindly offered to cater for Sunday roast, which was held at a local care home. This would be the very last meal we could share together as family as my mum was dying of Cancer. unfortunately mum didn't make it to the meal, but We had a place set out for mum at the head of the table and held the meal in remembrance of her.

The Owner was very accommodating and gracious and helped us through the ordering and payment process with a great deal of respect.

The food arrived hot and on time, with very generous portions and tasted just as a home cooked meal should.

On behalf of my family I would like to thank Livingstones for supporting us with their fantastic service and kindness. It will be a memory they will stay with us forever.

If anyone is considering visiting, i would highly recommend them Very friendly owner, made visit personal, the carvery was excellent loads of. Choice and reasonably priced. Helped us out with our allergies. Venue was clean and...

So found this lovely pub whilst having a walk around Kessingland, it was about a 25 minute walk from Kessingland Beach Holiday Park. By the time we found this we actually fancied something to eat, but unfortunately for us, it was a Monday and it transpired they only sell food Wednesday to Sunday. We were surprised how huge the pub was. The inside was clean, bright and tidy with a pool table. The staff were very friendly too. We ordered a pint of Carling Black Fruits and one of my favourites, but difficult to find, a pint of Caffrey's Irish Ale on draught. We sat in the sunshine in the large enclosed beer garden. At the time they were setting up some form of stage and all we can say is.. whatever event they are holding will no doubt be a great experience with a great atmosphere. Totally recommend visiting here and would certainly return if in the area.

A friendly host behind the bar was the positive, along with the choice of beers. The gammon meal was OK. However, the lasagne meal was dreadful - hard & dried out mince, which was covered with fresh grated cheese to hide this fact. Chips were bland & floppy. Waitress, when asking how the meal was addressed of this, but just thanked us for our honesty? We let the main man serving behind the bar know the meal was so poor, who immediately removed this from our bill & apologised - well done him! It was a shame the waitresses did nothing at all. We would not return.

Limited menu but the food was Great with great service, dropped in on a Sunday evening on a whim and had a good meal with great service . Friendly waitress and well cooked food , didn't have to wait for too long either...The steak burgers are particularly nice, but my Gammon steak and chips were done just right as well, my wife enjoyed the thai chicken curry . The kids menu is simple but well cooked...I believe the pub is under new management this year ... So old reviews may not apply.
