The worst fish and chips I've ever had! I'm not sure why there is a sign that says "world famous" world famous for being horrible maybe? The portions are £10.98 each, and when we opened the boxes it looked like an anemic fish finger! The chips tasted liked they had been cooked the night before and reheated and were so greasy. They left a horrible taste in our mouth and made us feel queasy the rest of the day. Really wouldn't recommend, I've paid a lot less for much nicer fish and chips.

Excellent fish and chips, good selection of beers and very friendly service. Interesting decor with lots of old vinyl records on the walls and 1940s / 1950s musical and theatrical posters and flyers on the tables. To complete the atmosphere, old favourites from the 50s and 60s are played in the background. Very popular, the cafe was full at lunchtime in midweek in February.

Really interesting interior with a mix of 1940s American diner with old photos of Felixstowe ferry of the same time. It's done really well and a change from the standard cafe decorations. Coffee was good and the bread 😄 sed for my bacon and egg roll was spot on. Loved the old newspaper style paper on the plate.

Visited here for the 1st time yesterday, as fancied fish and chips..... The cafe was open but wanted a takeaway. Even though there was no one waiting to be served stood and waited at the hatch 10 minutes before the 2 waitresses playing on their phone bothered to acknowledge me, and then they had to be prompted to serve me by the waitress making a coffee, no bother I wasn't in a rush. Anyhow ordered cod/chips no sauce £10.95. Only had to wait 10 minutes... came in a nice box containing wooden knife/fork and sachets of salt, sachets of vinegar available on the table outside. This has to be the smallest portion of fish and chips I've ever had and have to admit the worse, the fish resembled a long fishfinger, batter was pale and soggy and the chips were inedible, bright orange and just oozing fat, no white potato visible inside, just lots of oil think they must have been refried a good few times the lot went in the bin. Such a shame as had high hopes for them. For those planning on visiting lots of outdoor tables with a view of the public toilets which can't be helped...and cafe itself looked pretty, had a ramp for disabled access, bottle of hand gel on table...

I used to look forwards to our little treat of suffolk sausages, chips and fried eggs , but o dear ,so dissapointed with the offering placed in front of us on Saturday 20th April 2024 , we have been here many times over the years and never had a problem , when the order appeared so quickly after ordering ,we were suspicious , sausages and chips used to be cooked to order and were pipeing hot , both were clearly pre cooked and reheated, nasty soggy chips ,barely warm sausages ,with a couple of fried eggs placed on top , has there been a change of ownership or new cook in kitchen ? , please please get the basics right ,we don't mind waiting I don't normally do this sort of thing but we were both disappointed, come on ferry cafe get ya finger out and get things sorted , thank you , if customers get poor service they tend not to come back and tell their...

Bad Customer Service !! Went there today with my daughter and her partner as part of my birthday treat. Our order were incomplete. We didn’t mind these but it’s the staff rudeness that disappoint us big time. She looked miserable , when serve our food then quickly turned away without asking us if we need anything else. She was the one with thick fringe. We asked for some sauce but we got told off instead that we should have asked whilst ordering at the till. Food was nice tho but we didn’t bother to say something about our incomplete order because of that rude staff also we didn’t want to ruin our small celebration get together. All I know is I don’t want to go back there and not...
