Another absolutely fabulous lunch today at The Snug Tea Room, Westleton - the best little tea room for miles around! The Snug Tea Room was the ideal place to stop for refreshments after a walk on the beach at Dunwich. We ordered a Ploughman’s, a chicken New Yorker panini and a tuna melt panini. All three of us thought our meals were delicious. I loved the honey & mustard dressing on my salad. We ordered hot & cold drinks. The tea - leaves served with china cups - was so refreshing that we asked for a second pot. We left room for a plain scone with whipped cream & jam, and a slice of apple & almond cake that was so enjoyable that my wife - an expert baker herself - was asking for the recipe! (I was tempted by every one of the cakes on display!) Finally, the owners & staff at The Snug Tea Room were wonderfully friendly & welcoming. We would award their tea room ten stars if we could!

This is such a beautiful tea room! The owners are just lovely, so welcoming and cheerful. We had afternoon tea (needs to be booked 24 hours in advance) and it was one of the best I've ever had. The service is really good, attentive but not intrusive and nothing is too much trouble. The tea room itself is a lovely beamed room that sits about 15 people comfortably, and tea is served in really pretty vintage china. In addition to afternoon tea there is a menu that includes soup of the day, delicious cakes and light bites. I can't wait to go back again!

We were a tad disappointed to be moved from 'our spot' where we had sat on a previous occasion and our chalkboard was there again...but then 4 people came in so we were asked to move 😔 BUT the food, as always was amazing. Oh and to add that we didn't have any butter for the cheese scones - everyone was Super busy running around and an order came in that it just seemed inappropriate to interrupt 😔

What a hidden gem!! Had afternoon tea with my friend here yesterday. It was a belated surprise birthday treat for my friend as original booking was cancelled due to lockdown. It was by far the best afternoon tea we have ever had. And the family that run it are so very friendly and helpful including the family dog, Mabel, who is adorable! We were sat inside in "cliffys corner" and it just felt so cosy and welcoming. We were presented with our afternoon tea. My friend is not a meat eater so she had the vegetarian options and we had loose leaf tea in a teapot which was amazing! So much better than teabags! They had thought of everything and done everything right! We managed to eat the sandwiches, salad and crisps, cheese scone and scone with jam and cream but the other cakes we couldn't manage but we were given a box each so we could take them home! We had such a lovely afternoon and can't wait to go back again and try the other things on the menu! That's if they will have us back after we left without paying!!!!!! But as soon as I realised ,I quickly phoned and paid over the phone!! I was mortified but the owner was really good about it because my friend and I had been standing chatting to her for ages before we left about how much we had enjoyed it and she was telling us about the tea rooms and how it has been run and we just left without even thinking about it!! Thoroughly recommend this tea rooms to everyone! I have been passed it so many times and never realised what I was missing! Look forward...

Just came back from a fantastic visit to The Snug. Child and dog friendly, we brought our dog and two children. Nothing was too much trouble. My son wanted an ice cream which was not on the menu, they offered to nip to the shop next door! He was thrilled.

We had the broccoli and stilton soup and a few sandwiches. All the food was fantastic. The soup was probably the best soup I've ever had! So savoury and flavoursome without being over seasoned (I hate black pepper so I was really pleased) my dad had a slice of cake and said it was amazing. I'm sad I was too full for cake because the looked to die for. The staff were so friendly and kind.

We will definitely be...
