We thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu stop at The White Horse Inn on our way home from an afternoon at the beach. Staff all very welcoming and smiley/friendly. Largeish garden with plenty of outside seating. Dogs welcome, although only in the bar side or outside areas..doggy biscuits available for your waggy friend/s. Water bowl also available for dogs. Food was excellent - highly recommend the fish pie; the cheesy potato topping was delicious. Great find. They're a chain, so other inns from the group yet to be sampled/visited.

We stayed at the nearby Colston hall which was a lovely place to stay but a little too far to walk and no taxis were available as a drive. The White Horse Inn had great reviews was two minutes away and there is a great selection on the menu. We had the roasted halibut and the duck, the mussels, the pork crackling and the Goats cheese as a starter. The menus was a nice change from standard Pub food and it was all excellent! Prices were very reasonabletoo.

On a mild evening in October, came across this pub and the whole experience, from start to finish, was a gastronomic delight, run by people who (madly) plainly take a great deal of pleasure in delivering the goods - tasty food at great prices, served with humour and no mean skill! Plus we 'bumped' into a lovely couple, who just rounded the evening off. Magic. Simples.

Just comeback from the perfect weekend spent in Marina shepherd hut in the grounds of this fabulous pub.

When we first arrived, we were welcomed with a smile from a barman and he showed us to the hut and where things were in the hut and then the surprise which isn't mentioned on the website the hot tub! It was my husband birthday and there was a bottle of prosecco and a cupcake and candle on the side for him (nice thoughtful gesture).

We settled quickly and returned for our evening meal at the pub. We were seated quickly and the drinks ordered. We ordered the camembert to share to start and then hubby had the 12oz Rump steak! Wowzers! I had the whole tail scampi and it was delicious. Big portions but enough room to squeeze in 2 scoops of ice cream (lemon curd and honeycomb!) Again, this didn't disappoint.

We were asked if we wanted to book breakfast in the morning for £10.50 each. We accepted.

A comfy night sleep and woke up to return for breakfast... wow, what a feast! Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, juices on the bar to help yourself and then Lisa would serve you tea and coffee and ask what you would like from the menu... hubby had full English and I had the eggs royal.. we started to eat this and out come some more toast (different types of bread).

We spent the day seeing the sites and can recommend a stroll along the beach at Southwold to blow your cobwebs and walk the breakfast off.. then we went to Framlingham Castle and to Shawsgate Vineyard where we purchased a couple of bottles of English wine!

Back to the hut for round 2 of dinner! We decided on Deep Fried Brie wedges for hubby and the Goat cheese and beetroot salad for me. Hubby was torn between lamb shank and the rump but again decided on the rump. I had fish pie and deserts we had Eton mess and lemon meringue Sundae was immense.. hubby doesn't like the whipped cream so we asked to change it for ice cream and the waitress said it was possible.

Overall, this place is impeccable, from the drive into the car park, the fresh warm welcome, the surprise of a hot tub, the gorgeous fresh tasty food and plenty of it to the owners Lisa and Mark who couldn't do enough for you...

Thank you for an awesome weekend. As we said to you, you need to apply to the Channel 4 show Four In A Bed. It is that good!

It amazes me how some people are so negative about this place.. we simply couldn't find fault with it. Our friends recommended this little gem of a place to us and we feel it deserves all the credit and support from near and far....

We...

We have always loved badingham and we're regulars before it closed we decided to try it now its reopened and how disappointed we were we were sat at our table with menus no drinks offered or specials explained they took our drink order after sometime and then our meals I thought id try the £24 rump steak so I thought it would be amazing sadly it wasn't 2 small mushrooms small tomato and chips and my partner had the southern fried chicken with chips and the chicken was only just cooked during our meal the waitress who certainly was not smiley or cheerful walked past our table twice without asking if we were happy with our meal we finished our meal plates not cleared we we went to pay I expressed my concerns with the meal and service to a gentleman behind the bar who to be honest could not have cared less just apologised he said he was trying to train the staff well in my experiences of working in this trade train the staff before opening we shall unfortunately not return which is such as shame as it was one of...

I'm not one to leave reviews and admit after this incident we only stayed for a drink, so cannot personally comment on the food. However, while we were ordering our drinks, one of the senior members of staff spoke to a young member of staff in an extremely rude manner. The young lady had picked up a tablet that they use to process orders on, and put her own order in. She was told off quite obviously in front of a room full of customers, and despite saving the senior persons order before trying to use it, received no apology for the outburst. It was very uncomfortable to watch and I don't believe anybody deserves to be spoken to the way she had been. I understand it was a hot, busy bank holiday but the situation should have been dealt with in a much more professional manner. I will say, my family stayed for food and all said it was very nice, and particularly good service from the young lady.

Businesses should strive to support and encourage their hard working young members of staff and it was disappointing to see a seeming...
