Gorgeously decorated interior and friendly staff. The raspberry and chocolate cake was super delicious with a gorgeous fudgy texture, the tangy raspberry splashes throughout were divine! There was a tiny piece of coffee cake left which was perfect for my smaller appetite. The lady on the till offered it to me at a reduced cost which I was so pleased about. The coffee was so delicious and beautifully presented. We didn't have a table number when we ordered so said we would wait and carry our own cake and coffee to a table outside, a friendly waiter said he'd find us anyway and brought it out which was a lovely touch from him! Unfortunately the wasps were out in force today which made sitting in the garden not quite as relaxing as I can imagine it could be. The staff were on top of clearing tables to help with this problem too which was amazing to see! Would be better to have availability of menus a little clearer when arriving.

The pricing is, frankly, outrageous. Ā£9.95 for a 2-rasher bacon sandwich (on un-buttered bread) is eye watering, and honestly a bit disappointing. The bacon itself was nice but when a Full English is Ā£11.95 you have to question the value. When asked staff simply said ā€œwell it’s that much for a BLT so it’s the sameā€, except, that would come with lettuce and tomato. Ā£1.90 for a babyccinno is fair enough, charging Ā£1.50 on top for a bit of squirty cream is taking the p***. I don’t expect I’d be welcome back anyway, but for what it’s worth I would not eat here again.

I took my grandparents for lunch at this garden centre and was denied a child's portion of food for my grandmother who has terminal cancer. This was even after explaining her needing it due barley being able to eat because of her Leukaemia treatment.

Was just told by the teenager on the till it's 'out of their hands' after conferring with what seemed to be a more senior member of staff. Their reasoning was because I had expressed that it was not for a child. I was clearly upset but tried to keep my cool and told the girl it was not her fault. Meanwhile the other four members of senior staff around her did not bother to help at all whilst clearly hearing every word of the conversation.

Extremely infuriating as large portions of food to a cancer patient is too much for them and nauseating. Their attitude toward me was basically that they didn't care one bit. It's a garden centre with 'strict' policies.... I mean get a grip.

The food was brought to the table by a waitress about 30-40 years old. My grandfather was extremely upset and reminded the waitress that my grandmother has terminal cancer and large portions of food are extremely off-putting due to nausea from treatment. To which she replied with a rude impatient attitude and absolutely no compassion 'do you want a side plate to push some food off her plate'.

To further rub salt into the wound, a waitress then said 'next time just don't say who it's for when ordering' which completely contradicts their whole enforcement of their supposed rule of child portion food, making the entire ordeal pointless.

The entire staff seem to be a bunch of bitter, mean spirited women who then made it very apparent that they had awful attitudes toward us for the remainder of the time we were there eating.

I never write reviews for restaurants or anywhere in general but I have gone out of my way to write this as I have never experienced such disrespect and down right pathetic behaviour.

Their portion sizes are massive and have a 'strict' portion size policy, how is this catering as a garden centre to their main demographic of elderly people? I mean how incompetent can you be as a business and as human beings.

I've never experienced such awful behaviour in my life. Just actually imagine having a grandmother with terminal cancer being denied a smaller portion of food at a garden centre.... then being given attitude and disrespect after by the staff.... actually unbelievable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The place deserves to...

Stunning location with so much potential i think that's why people get so frustrated because they can see what it could be. When i arrived no one was at the entrance to show us to a table which would be a nice touch to make the experience more personal, possibly a manager so that they can see who's coming in as there is no line of site to the entrance from the counter/kitchen. Sat at a table which was sticky and had crumbs all over it no one came over to offer to wipe it down and no cutlery was brought over. Had a smoothie which was lovely and a chicken burger which arrived quickly when served we weren't offered sauces and had to ask for cutlery. Burger was very dry and overcooked with a very light smearing of harissa Mayo, chips where nice though. Sauces arrived we got 4 sachets of Mayo between us when you're charging nearly £20 a head 2 sachets doesn't really cut it especially when the food is so dry perhaps some sauce bottles, salt and pepper grinders and a pot for cutlery and napkins placed on the tables and also water jugs with glasses would nice. No one came to ask us if everything was okay even though there seemed to be over 10 people working with only about 5 tables in. Sorry for all the negativity just frustrating to see such an amazing venue produce such poor...

Arrived here this afternoon to take my mum & dad for a nice coffee & meal. Driven quite far out of our way to come here as it looked lovely.

However, on arriving it was absolutely freezing inside. The Christmas shop was so built up you could barely get a buggy through let alone walk hand in hand with your child. Don't get me wrong wrong displays were lovely but it just made the experience very claustrophobic.

As we made it through to the cafƩ the place was really untidy. Food on the floor, unclean tables, a number of tables unserviced & everyone eas dat there in their coats. It was uncomfortably cold. You don't expect to come somewhere like this for coffee & food & sit there eating it with your coat on. Even the poor people trying to enjoy their afternoon tea looked cold sat in there coats.

It was enough to turn us around immediately & go to a nearby pub where it was toasty warm with a view (The Fishers's Pond). So we didn't taste the food but everything else appeared poor we didn't risk it.

I understand it is winter but it was actually 7°c today which I'd much warmer than yesterday so you would expect some.kind of heating to be installed for the winter months to make diners experience a...
